Wow. I've been looking for a really good backup and file synchronization application for a good while. I've tested just about everything on MacUpdate.com and Synk was by far the best of the bunch.
Not only will it do a quick sync between folders (even over the network), but it has the added features of scheduled functions. This will allow me to simply set it up and forget about it, with confidence that things will be synk'ed.
Lastly, the interface is very easy to understand and use.
Synk got my $20 and I'm very happy.

This has a tremendously well thought out USENET Binaries upload feature.
Downloading binaries is not so reliable but this is usually a limitation of the NNTP server you are connecting to.
If it is that big of a deal, iGrabNews is a better binary downloader.
Reading and Posting messages (including Binaries) is a dream.
