You're obviously assuming that I had anything whatsoever in mind about anything having to do with G5 (this is obvious, since I never state such in my posting). Fine discernment skills? I think not.
Oh I see; I'm ignorant because you make the slack-jawed cave-dwelling type of assumption that I'm going to run the G5 software on my G4. You see, oh foolish twit whose ignorance and stupidity seems incapable of reaching a limit, things in the developed world don't work that way. You, not merely by definition, but by the foolish ignorance of your impetuous words and insolance, are the truly ignorant one.
And your ignorance, my dear Neanderthalic friend, is an ineffable mystery to me - so boundless and extraordinary is it. If I may hazard a guess, I would suggest that perhaps it is due to the affects of many years of incestuous inbreeding, and perhaps also - though this is a stretch admittedly - also a vitamin C deficiency.
Look, just because my proper version is not that which the above download link points to, doesn't mean that I haven't found my correct version elsewhere (7.0b1). Being of a compromised and lower intellect, you no doubt require a lot of handholding and nanny-state intervention; this sad fact alone does not mean that others require the same.
Your desultory and unmitigated asinine nincompoopery, and pompous effrontery might be best utilized elsewhere. Clearly you are not a thinking person. But don't worry, in this world we shall always require persons to scrub toilets, etc.
Mikael B: your ignorance really does astound. You've pulled yet another Einsteinian mind blow in suggesting I haven't yet identified the build I installed. Well, how about my words above - plain for all to see:
Look, just because my proper version is not that which the above download link points to, doesn't mean that I haven't found my correct version elsewhere (7.0b1).
This is obviously all very much over your sad, inept, little head. Return to your toilets . . .
Mikael B: I want you to do something for me: I want you to look away from your computer - don’t worry, it’s just for a second - and look out the window. You see that? That wasn’t that tough now, was it? You see, there’s lots of really neat stuff out there that isn’t computers. There’s birds, flowers, kitty-cats - all kinds of really nice, non-computer stuff. Shucks, I’ll be darned if in fact there isn’t a whole world out there. I suspect that your problem is that you’ve only got computers. Period.
Now one who hasn’t got anything more than computers might be tempted to get all bent out of shape and accuse me and “Jazzguy” (see your comment posted September 1st, 2011) of being ignorant if we have problems with some piece of software or another (this is what you wrote about Jazzguy: “Jazzyguy, We all understand that your are both a computer illiterate and can't read simple instructions. Your ignorance doesn't warrant your grade”). But you see - the advantage that Jazzguy and I and others among us have, is that we realize that this glowing, silver thing on top of our desk - it’s just a machine. Jazzguy and I - well, we have lives. Jazzguy has his jazz, I’ve got my birds, flowers and kitty-cats.
You give TenFourFox a bad image when you accuse others of being ignorant idiots. If you cared genuinely about the software, you wouldn’t do that. The truth of the matter is that - because it’s just a computer, just a bit of software - I will move onto other software, and will never find out if TenFourFox is any good or not. If the truth be told, I couldn’t really care less; my world is bigger than my desktop.
This is something of a love letter which MS sends to me every time there's an update for Office:
"You cannot install Office 2008 - - - Update on this volume. A version of the software required to install this update was not found on this volume."
Never one to miss an opportunity to thank me for my loyal patronage, Microsoft again sent me this message while attempting to update to 12.3.1
I've never run any 'slimming down' sort of application, nor uninstalled any extraneous languages (I've read that these sorts of things can wreak havoc with MS updates); I know fully well that MS doesn't like its users to tweak its products (sadly, Apple is also moving in this totalitarian direction), so I am sure to behave myself.
An uninstall/reinstall, alas, put me back in Office 2008's good books - and I'm up to 12.3.1.
Now I shall sit back and await Office's next "thank you" letter . . .
Don't quite understand what's happening here; version 2.0.6 - which I have been using for over a year, and which is listed on Garmin's website as being released April 23, 2009 - is here listed as a new release on today's date of December 28, 2010.
I've never downloaded this thing, yet I communicate with a number of websites using my Forerunner 305. Can't really see the point, therefore. Any comments would be appreciated.
So far so good, and much faster. The only trouble is the icon looks very much like that of OnyX; I swear I must have started up OnyX about a hundred times already when I was seeking iTunes.
Very impressed with this application, however, I cannot get a "sneak peak" at my iCal events as is suggested on the HyperDock website, nor can I see the iTunes controls as are portrayed there also.
Lately I've noticed that when I quit Alarm Clock my computer still wakes at the time for which Alarm Clock had been set - and the computer will not sleep on its own after this.
Until today I had been one of those annoying, smug Mac users who had never experienced a crash and/or hang. And then I updated to MacSword 2.2.5. Don't get me wrong, my iMac is certain it has died and entered into heaven with 2.2.5, so beautifully does it do its job (finally Greek with accents!). My MacBook Air, however, will not run this application. It launches once, then quits - "unexpectedly". I have followed the usual advice; I have deleted all kinds of files and things; I have effected clean installs, etc. As a PhD student in theology, I am at a loss, and am considering sack-cloth and ashes as final recourse - though I reserve any hint of optimism, alas . . .
Greek accents are only available in some modules - or so it seems to me. Try "2T Greek" at the Xiphos install source in the module installer. Then go to "Mod Options" in the MacSword window, and select "show Greek accents". Voilà. The "2" in "2TGreek" stands for Testament, since the module contains also the Septuagint (Greek Old Testament). Hope this helps.
Out of curiosity, I just ran the function to revert to an older version of Camino. Now a half dozen or so of my applications are missing. Not good. A PhD student really needs his word processor. Not good at all . . .
Very helpful little application. The trouble which I am having, is that it will not permit my iMac to sleep; no trouble with my MacBook Air & MacBook Pro - only the iMac (the only computer I really need it on, alas!).
I had AppCleaner installed on my MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, but have since uninstalled the application on both computers; now neither computer will sleep automatically (with EnergySaver set to sleep after a certain period of inactivity). I am receiving this message in Console:
06/12/08 2:48:25 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.freemacsoft.appcleanerdaemon[1730]) Exited with exit code: 1
06/12/08 2:48:25 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.freemacsoft.appcleanerdaemon[1730]) posix_spawnp("/Library/Application Support/AppCleaner/AppCleaner Daemon", ...): No such file or directory
This message recurs to the order of 5000 times per day, and I feel quite certain that this is causing my computers to stay awake.
Hopefully there is some resolution available for this problem.
Thanks for posting your comment (twice). Well, I suppose the presence of the messages I was displaying in Console - which I posted on Dec 6 2008, which clearly indicate "AppCleaner", and this after I had uninstalled AppCleaner - would kind of suggest that yes, AppCleaner had something to do with my machines not sleeping. Or how about this: after I deleted the AppCleaner Daemon, both my computers are now sleeping without provocation. Alas, 1+1 does seem to equal 2
