This is one heck of a time-saver—no more cut and pasting addresses in Google maps! Sure, Address Book does mapping, but not directions, Google Earth, or Google Prefs. This app does all that and more. Works beautifully and seamlessly with Apple Address Book. So far completely stable. I use it every day.
Yes, I read the description, I'm not illiterate. The fact remains that wherever the lyrics come from, I could only find 10% of them. Maybe you have a better way? Or maybe you're the developer. :D
Drive Alert doesn't work at all. Showed my iMac HD failing when in fact it is not even close. SMARTReporter is very accurate. Let me know when my MacBook HD was failing, and it was.
Great. I installed 10.3.183.10 (after uninstalling 11 beta which brought everything to a screeching halt) and now I can't print any Adobe PDF documents. None. I'm going to uninstall every Adobe piece of crap and go back to Preview.
This app can NOT be used for real sales tax. It lists Florida sales tax at 6%. That makes it useless in Florida counties where sales tax is 7%, which includes all the counties within a 100-mile radius of my business. In fact, I’m not even sure there are still any counties in Florida that only charge 6% sales tax; maybe some smaller ones.
I also agree with normb that I would really like to be able to try an app first before installing it. Can we be certain that the App Store contains only safe, bug-free apps? Maybe so, but I don’t want to find out the hard way—then again it keeps the Genius bar in business.... :D
I thought I'd give this a try as I have several rental properties and other landlord/tenant programs didn't really appeal to me, mainly because they are so expensive (as this is!). I had no problem finding the screen shots on the developer's site. The links actually say “click here for....” so the developer may have added them since some of these reviews were posted, but when I looked at the screen shots I was sorry I had found them. Still, my curiosity got the best of me so I downloaded the trial.
First, the interface looks like OS 7 (OS 9 at best), but I really tried to reserve judgment pending the actual us of my free trial. It didn't hold my information (I had to enter everything twice-so maybe there's a steep learning curve or something :D), I didn't seem to be able to personalize it, and it kept crashing.
The price of $200 is astronomical for a program that looks like this and doesn't even work well. You're better off using FileMaker or Bento and making up your own rental database like I ended up doing. Then you'll at least have a program you can use for other things.
I have come to depend so heavily upon 1Password that when I updated to Safari 3.1 today and 1PW stopped working I emailed the developer. Within minutes I received a response to download the beta for an immediate fix and that they would have the new version up and running today or tomorrow. That worked.
Apple doesn't always let the developers know what's coming so sometimes they have to work 24/7 to catch up and these folks are surely up to the task!
