In the beginning, when Americas Army was first on the drawing board, the army likely wanted to use AA for propaganda and as a recruiting tool. They also wanted to train soldiers with it because of its realistic environment and weapons etc...
However, I think it ended up differently then what they originally wanted it too be. Instead it became a fun, realistic first-person shooter, JUST LIKE ANY OTHER GAME!! But, in the end, how people view the game, either as a recruiting tool or just a game, is up too the perspective of the person writing about it. I personally like this game and I see where the propaganda supporters are coming from. (Having a few in my family.) However, I dont support their views. I think it is just a FUN GAME! and we should LEAVE it as a fun game.
Also to the person who says that the army could use our tax dollars for something else, If it were not for the army spending OUR tax dollars to support the FIRST computers ( YES, the army was the first to even consider the creation and use of computers), you would not be writing that review.
