Is it me or does this extension cause Quicktime to have very large cache files? In my case over 100M after viewing a couple of youtube clips. I guess its not a big issue but this was after just a couple of minutes of use.
Why is this showing up as a new version? This link is for version 3.0 from March 30, 2009. From what I can find on the developers website, there is no newer version.
I contacted the developer back in Jan 2009 to confirm that run all cron scripts was actually working correctly or not. At that time, MacPilot ran all three scripts in less than 10 seconds (with a password prompt after each individual script). Cocktail takes roughly 5 minutes, the same amount of time as to manually run all cron scripts from the command line. The developer contacted me and confirmed that MacPilot's speediness was suspicious and they would investigate further. Since that time, I've seen many updates and many new features added but no confirmation that the cron scripts are working as they should. Currently, MacPilot runs all three scripts in well under a minute (with no password confirmation after each script...Thanks). New features are nice, but It would still be nice to know that it's doing the job it claims to do.
Finally able to use my CanoScan 656u scanner with Paperless that I received in the recent Macupdate promo. Excellent Job. Can't figure out why Canon didn't address the Twain OS X driver issue years ago. Go figure!
This is probably the worst software company I've ever had to deal with. I've been burned twice trying to do business with them. Once with Kandalu X and now with K_Kitchen which I purchased in June 08. It was stupidity on my part for trying to give them a second chance. Basically what I got for my money was no support, no documentation, and email replies that make no sense (read nonsense). Now, six months later, they jump from version 2.0.1 to 3.0.1 with no mention of upgrade pricing. K_Kitchen, on launch, promptly informed me that a new version was available and would I like to install it. Then as you read through the fine print, you realize that your current license isn't valid for the new version. This company has absolutely no concept of how to run a business or support it's users. Buyer beware.
I submitted an email with my registered email address and serial number for version 2.0.2 yesterday. How long before I receive my new serial number for 3.0.1?
Serial number has been received. As for the software, Kandalu writes very good software with unique features. Thats why I gave them a second chance after my Kandalu X fiasco. Once they get their business sense together, they will be a formidable opponent to the established developers. Thanks once again M of Kandalu. You helped me out with Kandalu X in 2007.
Since it seems that Kandalu support monitors here... please help:
I am unable to auto update from 3.01 to 3.02. After the install and relaunch prompt an Update error message is displayed:
An error occurred during installation. Please try again later.
When Cancel is chosen the following error message is displayed:
K Kitchen does not have permission to write to the application's directory! Are you running off a disk image? If not, ask your system administrator for help.
I am the Adminstrator.
I tried to do a manual install of the new version but K_Kitchen 3.02 wants the serial number again. The serial number I was given for 3.01 is not accepted because it looks like K_Kitchen 3.02 is using a different serial number format.
To clarify the serial number request: If you cycle through the seven options on the cube until you get to the finished page, then click on "finished", the cube disappears. The K_Kitchen menu options are still present. Click on the K_Kitchen icon in the dock. This brings up a new cube and a request for the serial number. If you quit and restart K_Kitchen you are still registered (product registration under the help menu is grayed out) So I guess the serial request is bogus but still disconcerting.
