As great as this app is, it's surprising that it's free. Practically any song I want is free as long as I have this app. By the way it works great in Mountain Lion too.

I'm running this on Mountain Lion 10.8 and so far it is running smoothly. iStat Menus has become a must have, cannot live without app. Pure awesomeness.

Google Chrome

Awesome browser. I love the feature set and functionality of Chrome. This new beta slightly refines the icons on the Windows version. I'm at work so I haven't upgraded to the Mac version yet but in Windows the icons have been slightly refined in version 20.

avast! Free Antivirus

Not trying to advocate antivirus programs on the Mac but if you're the paranoid type then this is the best option for you. It's light on system resources and is very accurate at detecting malware. I can't give it 5 stars as it's still in beta but that can change in the future.

While I'm glad HTML5 will eventually replace Flash on the desktop as is now the soon to be reality on mobile devices thanks to Adobe's recent announcement, Flash has caused me no problems now that I have a new 2011 MacBook Pro. Flash ALWAYS ran my CPU upwards of 90% on my old 2007 MacBook. Now Flash stays below 10% of my CPU while watching videos. This is truly amazing compared to what I've been used to. If Flash were like this a couple of years ago most people here would like it.

While I still prefer Safari for it's clean cocoa user interface and tighter integration with Mac OS X, I still think Firefox is an awesome browser. Mozilla has done a really good job with Firefox 7 & 8. This beta is blazing fast and I prefer Firefox over Chrome. Interestingly Firefox 7 has retaken the speed lead from Chrome 14. This may change in the future but right now only Opera is faster than Firefox and only by a small margin (don't believe me? Google it!). The only thing I don't like is Firefox is written in FUGLY XUL rather than elegant smooth cocoa.

Miro

I've always liked Miro from day one but it was in serious need of polishing which is exactly what has finally happened with this release! Miro has become my default player for all movie files and my default bit torrent app. Miro has a very smooth and polished feel to it. It is simply awesome.

For simple reading enjoyment this app is great. I love the ease and convenience of auto sync between Kindle on my Mac and iPhone. As far as I'm concerned this is a must have app.
