On top of having the stupid '2007' moniker, the Intuit site I visited boasts that the new Quicken back up to MobileMe. Maybe in a few years Intuit will realize MobileMe was shuttered in June 2012.
After using MacJournal for five months, I am furious that I lost data today when the application did it's update to a new version.
Suddenly I'm missing data-entries left and right. Searching Mariner's knowledge database is near useless; the entries were closed in May, 2011 and there's no way to contact the developer.
I've tried what I could google online... finding the backup files has done nothing to resolve this loss of data.
Between Mariner's bad customer service and an update that has caused the loss of five months of work information I can only say this is GARBAGE.
I was once an ardent supporter and promoter of Moneydance.
No more.
The developer has regressed the app by taking away a much needed split transaction option. I've been reading hordes of angry users' comments on the forums for Moneydance - and the developer just doesn't get it.
I am eagerly trying iFinance and iBank as the options I'll use when I dump Moneydance.
The horrible part of this software is the lack of any support from Ubermind.
Neither the sales or info folks read or reply to emails.
As some who paid to license the software I expect business like coutesy.
Ubermind doesn't bother. I lhave contacted them twice at the both the sales and info email address during the last two weeks. Not a peep from Ubermind.
Twice I tried to do a sync preview between my laptop and my idisk folder and each time as Transmit 4.0 compared files it crashed. I've sent two reports of this.
But I don't like that this is how 4.0 acts.

Immediately, my Logitech webcamera is not recognized -even though it worked perfectly well before 10.7.3 and Messages.
So I can't say which one screwed things up... but now I'm not happy with the sitaution.

Path Finder
I'm copying a 43GB uncompressed movie from my hard drive to an external.
No matter what I tried, Finder gave me error code 0 -- and then I read a posting that Path Finder has no issues in this area.
And I love Path Finder for this!

The workarounds involve applescripts; something I won't use.
I may have to switch to Pulp.
