I had a large number of files stuck in trash that were completely clogging my hard drive, variety of error messages suggested issues with file permissions but I had no success with a long list of supposed solutions, I have had this problem for nearly 6 months and I was on the verge of reformatting the machine when I found this tool.

Trash It did exactly what it promised and there have been no issues with the machine since. Now at last the regular "empty trash" command is working properly again.
