I created a rar archive and it wrote the archive to root! The logical place would be in the same directory as the thing I'm archiving, or Desktop or Downloads or something if I'm archiving multiple things from different directories, but it should never choose / by default.
Also, it would be nice if it supported Growl, and when creating an archive, the entire content field should accept dropped items.
I experimented and found that if I have Every item new archive unchecked, it does ask me where to save the archive, but if I have it checked, it doesn't, it just saves to /.
I agree, it's basically useless without the scrollbar. I used the pre-2.0 version and it was great, easily the best widget of its type, but had to dump it with the 2.0 version. I keep hoping the scroll bar will be added back.
