I like this widget. It displays the moving radar picture very well and lets you tailor it to your liking. You can adjust frame speed, source of the radar, how often it updates, how long it saves images and more. I'm very happy with it. Other widgets I've used stop updating and show you images or loops that are days old.
The only glitch seems to be with the posting of the latest version. No matter which link for version 2.6.2 I download (developer, Apple, MacUpdate) they say a newer version is available. Each version shows in the Finder as being 2.6.
If you're looking to upgrade a Parallels 3.X installation - WAIT!
I'm running a 2.4 GHz MacBook Pro and I let Parallels go for over 12 hours trying to update my Parallels 3.X virtual machine (Windows XP). It was hung up on Step 3 of 4. It finally locked up the computer (the clock even froze) and I had to shut down and restart. Then it hung up again on Step 4. Force Quit and tried again. Then it finally finished.
It's running fine now that it's updated the virtual machine. So perhaps if you're doing an initial install it might be fine. But I'd let them post another revision or so before I'd try doing an update of an existing Parallels 3.X installation.
One other note: Windows XP decided the changes from the 3.X to the 4.X virtual machine were too drastic and made me re-activate the product. So be prepared to have to deal with that.
I found it didn't really work for me. It would disable the printed functions on the keys, but they wouldn't work as actual functions keys.
Just wondering what file in the OS this alters. Ever since I uninstalled it, my keyboard and trackpad will quit working. I can use a bluetooth mouse and I can use the Keyboard Viewer. I can even Share Screen from another computer, but the local keyboard and trackpad won't work until I put the thing to sleep and wake it up again. That seems to fix it for a little while.
Perhaps the developer can comment on what file may be affected to cause this?
It can show forecasts from hourly to 4-day to 15-day, as well as current conditions and animated radar. All very nicely displayed.
The only bug I've found that keeps me from using it is that the radar doesn't update. I've let it run for a few days and it still displays the radar loop from when I first loaded it. This is both on an Intel and PPC Mac.
