MacUpdate Desktop
At each launch, the 5.0.5 version checks (or installs missing) file "com.macupdate.desktop5.scanner.plist" in $HOME/Library/LaunchAgents/ directory, without any obvious way to control this obtrusive process within the Prefs of the application.
Just like Adobe stuff does...

Could anyone else confirm this, and update the description of the software on macupdate ?
