Great apps, simple, easy to use and very unobtrusive. Well done!
A small request that would be particularly useful when working on scanned architectural drawings: the ability to define a custom scale.
A similar functionality exists in Meander, but meander is completely overblown when the only thing I want to measure in the straight distance between two points...
I imagine the custom scale to work as follows:
1. Extend the two ruler handles to between two known points on the scanned drawings.
2. Choose "Custom scale..." from the scaling menu
3. Enter a custom distance that matches the scaled distance on the drawing
4. From now on, all distances displayed are multiplied by the custom scale factor.
This would make this already great tool absolutely perfect for me!
A powerful and versatile software. Setup may look a bit daunting at first but their website provides very detailled instructions on how to setup various software on different platforms. In less than 10 minutes, I've set up 2-way symchronisation for multiple Google Apps calendars in iCal and LDAP access to my Gmail contacts in Addressbook.
Finally cross synchronisation of all my Google Apps with my local software!
I've started using the SSHfs module, which allows any remote volume on a host you have SSH access to to be transparently mounted on your desktop, allowing any standard Finder actions to be performed on it. Setting up the connection is really simple (no geeky terminal stuff involved). This includes, for instance, mounting my webhosting server on the desktop over an secure encrypted connection. This is a far better option than any of the existing FTP software available for Mac!
The possibility are endless and many modules (RSS, Gmail, Picassa Web, etc.) are being ported for the Mac at the moment. Check out the MacFuse website!
Simply launch sshfs (should be somewhere in your application folder) and enter your credentials to login to your ssh server. The ssh share will then mount on your desktop, available to access via the Finder.
The alarm would always go off a few seconds after activation on my MacBook Pro Unibody. I noticed that disabling the Device detection sorted the problem...
Great application which I use on an almost daily basis without any problem.
However, iTunes 9 started to freeze on me as soon as I installed it last week. After various attempts to solve the problem, I noticed that removing all scripts from ~/library/itunes/scripts solved the freezing problem. It may not be specific to iTuneMyWalkman, but this was the only scripts I had installed for iTunes 9, so just wanted to point this out to the developer.
Great work otherwise!
