Michael Puskas, this application is still an ALHPA version. This means that it hasn't been tested yet. This also means that it is missing lots of features. Adium X is still in development. Don't complain.
I love Adium X. I'm not using Mac Messenger or iChat anymore. This IM client just rocks.
Great IRC client. I think I've found the one I have been looking for for ages! :)
It's still in development, but it looks great. I especially like the channel bar; it makes being on a lot of channels much easier. Crikey! is user friendly, and it looks cute.
It's Java... even worse. No wonder it took ages to start it.
It's apparently also encouraging piracy. *All* file sharing apps like this are used for piracy. According to NodeScan: "There are plenty of alternative programs and networks which are better suited to this endeavor." So it's not even a good type of network.
Ogg Vorbis steaming? OGG is not quite a popular format. MP3 is more popular, is about to be replaced by the even better AAC.
Chat? What the hell, 32*32 icons before an user name? I thought 16*16 emoticons were bad.
Instant messaging? Don't we all have AIM, MSN, Excite, Yahoo, Jabber, ICQ? Will this new IM thing be used? I think not.
Remote server adminstration requires you to enter geeky commands. Not exactly user-friendly either, is it?
I downloaded NodeScan and it looked quite promising. When I saw the OS 9 icon in OS X, I knew it would be an app that looks great, but isn't.
- It runs horribly slow. It took me about 20 seconds to start the app (both server and client).
- I couldn't figure out how it worked.
- The user interface is a pain-what the hell did the author do to the great default Mac OS X GUI?
I'm not sure what language this app is coded in. I suspect REALbasic, for several reasons. The GUI has elements that are definitely REALbasic.
There are much better Intranet server solutions than this.
Mac Messenger 2.7 is finally released. I had expected a better GUI and a better stability in OS X. I'm trying to convince him all day to make it look better, but it doesn't turn out that way. The contact list has way too much icons, the fake metal theme is ugly, resizing the collumns doesn't work, etc etc. On the other hand, it has a lot of handy features. If iChat was compatible with MSN, I would have chosen iChat, though.

It's not bad, could do better though.
