I have used version 2.7 for several years and it is an excellent program. I would love to say thank you by paying from version 3 and indeed came to MacUpdate tonight to do just that. However, I will not purchase any upgrades to this or other applications through the apple app store. This is end of life for this application at my location. Revival only possible through a change of policy by the developer, allowing users to purchase either through MacUpdate or directly from the developer's web site.

Selling this ONLY through the app store is an example of short sighted developmental management. Consumers BUYING through only the app store are foolish as well. Single source supply through only Apple? What a slippery slope you tread!

We need distributed sourcing and we need robust fully functional applications.

If you won't provide me these things I'll do without. I hope more people will see the dangers of Apple's app store and opt instead to use Macupdate as their preferred source, and purchase directly from the author. Vote with your money!

The system requirements on this page are incorrect. iTunesX v9 requires an intel processor.

It would be nice if there were a link available to download version 8 for those of us running PPC equipment.

Retrospect Express

Retrospect Express 6.0 has been working swimmingly well on my old G4. However, I just went looking for driver updates and see the dantz has redirected to EMC which now redirects to iOmega.... and the iOmega page is blank. Not looking well supported is it? Time to bale I guess ... been a Retrospect user for neigh onto twenty years ... looks like either SuperDuper or CarbonCopyCloner are the choices to follow today... or Chronsync! Been using all three for awhile and each seems to do a good job on everything from the old G4 to my new MacBook Pro. RIP Retrospect Express!

Developer .... I would have written this to you as an email except there is no apparent email or telephone contact for you on your web site. I suggest you consider placing contact info there. I would have purchased your app tonight but the Apple app store won't accept my valid credit card info ... seems many other people have this trouble too. Perhaps it is a bad idea to sell through the apple app store and you should sell directly through MacUpdate.

Too many developers make big promises, write ambiguous text for marketing and don't provide a functional product. That's why we demand a demo. Show me your stuff works and I'll pay for it. No demo? No Trial? No Money for You!!

I've just purchased this program as an adjunct to Disk Warrior. The customer support for Drive Genius is stellar, especially when compared to the publishers of the competition. Drive Genius (ProSoft Engineering) customer support ROCKS! The program works very well too. Recommended without reservation. MacOSX 10.6
