I used both the logitech drivers and SteerMouse, and found SteerMouse to performs better and is more reliable than the logitech ones.
Even on my G5 PowerMac, I noticed slight lag in scrolling with the logitech drivers, with SteerMouse, scrolling is butter smooth in all programs. Plus there were several minor bugs in the logitech drivers, and none that I've found in SteerMouse.
Apart from (apparently) going nuts on the level at which file's are shredded, in what way is this better than the Secure Empty Trash feature built into recent versions of Mac OS X?
Seriously, the only reason to use this app is to waste time messing with your computer, which is perfectly fine. But actually spending money on this thing is crazy.
If this was open source, I'd have downloaded it and probably given a five star review.
I agree there's some amazing server and command line software in the open source world, but in my experience that excellence usually doesn't reach into GUI apps.
That isn't to say I don't like open source, I love it and have contributed to a few open source apps in the past.
Wow this is excellent! Incase the description wasn't clear (it wasn't for me), it installs several scripts in the iTunes menu, which you can then use for various iPod-related tasks, including ripping songs to your library and so on.
Do your users a favor and avoid third party installers if at all possible.
Use a dmg for apps, and show any license agreements/read mes the first time a user opens the app.
If you need to install extensions or something, use a standard installer package. User's are familiar with them, they work well, and you never have to worry about bugs in future versions of the OS.
If a menu icon appears in the menu but doesn't load it's usually because it's set to "Hide" in System Preferences>Accounts>Startup Items. Turn Hide off and it will work at login. This is a bug in Panther.

If you want graphs and all the other snazzy features, this isn't for you. But if you just want to download torrents this gem is perfect.
