Great product for easy time tracking! It's simple to use, interacs pretty well with iCal and let's you concentrate on your work.
It is stable but since it is a very young app, a couple of sporadic bugs happen with the options at moment. And the interface doesn’t disappear fast enough, I have to clic the icon to fasten the process.
I can't work without this app anymore. Having cut & paste option and only one Finder window with several tabs is a real time saver. I press alt-ù (French canadian keyboard) to access the window and it disapears the moment I get to another app, which mean no window clutter on my desktop!
Stability is the main problem though. Nothing to prevent the app to work or mess with your day to day work, but it crashes or bugs more often than any other apps I use (and I use a lot of them). Since it's still a baby (version 1.1), it has some steps to climbs ;)
Wonderful little app! I downloaded Decloner for fun as it was 50% off on MUPromo to see how many duplicated files it could find on my hard drive. I knew I had severals but nothing alarming.
Well, Decloner found for about 15GB of duplicates! Sometimes, I could have 5 times the same file in different project folders. Lots of MP3s already in iTunes but still wandering around in various folders. Buying it was a no brainer!
It’s easy to use and pretty fast. You have Trash, Reveal in Finder and QuickLook buttons next to each file names, which is very handy.
It would be nice to be able to see the date of the files on the main interface (with size, count and total) instead of having to select each file to see it.
Being able to slide the size, count and total all the way to the right to see really long file names would be my second request.
But be aware: it fragmented my hard drive severly after I deleted much of those duplicated files. The drive was spinning constantly and everything was dead slow. TechTool Pro 5 arranged that perfectly tough.
So maybe get yourself TechTool or iDefrag if you have gigabytes of useless duplicates like me.
In promo at 10$ in the App Store, I decided to give Art Text a try. The idea of eye catching effects made easy is wonderful. You can customise all the effects, which is important if your customers already have their own colors. The choices are vast and the effects great.
But that’s about it. The interface is weird and not very clever; you can’t undo an effect to return the the previous one; the program is slow at rendering it’s effects when customizing them; some attributes stop responding when customizing «too much» and exporting big document (eps or png) make the program window go all white and nothing happens (on my 2010 iMac with 12GB of RAM…).
It’s like Art Text has been design for small creations; web and homeworks. But for design professionnals, it can’t stand our needs. We usually don’t use much those kind of effects, but it can be great for little extras or funky projects.
I hope version 3 will be better. But for now, even 10$ is not worth it for me.

It's now my everyday companion. I love it!
