Hardware aacceleration is finally enabled by default on my Mid 2009 Macbook Pro 13" i beleive it's the 9400m card... So I am happy, memory usage seems a bit high, Flash crashes every now and again, but I am using a beta version of flash so that could have something to do with it. However, with hardware acceleration finally being enabled, CPU usage while streaming youtube videos in HD seems to be a substantial amount less than it is when using the latest 3.9 build. Overall, beta 9 is the best one I have tried to date. Keep up the good work, I am positive all the bugs will be sorted out by he final release...

These updates posted always show up long before the program itself acknowledges there is an update available using the "auto update" feature...

Is it just me or was the hardware acceleration more effective in the gala previews than in this release? I am seeing a higher cpu usage when streaming HD videos on youtube in comparison to the cpu usage when watching HD using the gala previews 1&2... Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this? I kind of miss the little white square in the top corner because at least then you knew when hardware acceleration was being used and when it was not being utilized... On a more positive note, this release is far more stable than the gala previews were for me when using these firefox 4 beta's.

Would love to try it, but the torrent site that I use has it under their list of "banned clients" so I can't use it... Wish there was a way to get xtorrent taken off that list so i could give it a go!

CPU usage during HD video streaming on youtube is almost cut in half when using this version. Runs great, only issue i can find is that there is a small white box in the top left corner of the video screen regardless of the video being played, or website it is being streamed from. If this box would go away this would probably be the best version of flash i have encountered to date...

Nvm i stumbled across this on the adobe website... "In this preview release, you will be able to recognize when hardware decoding is in use when you see a small white square appear in the upper left corner of a video."
That explains the white box complaint i had previously!

Seems to work better than the previous builds. Strangely this build causes my mouse icon to disappear when dragged across playing video, and takes a good bit of random mouse movements to get it to reappear. Kind of an odd thing, however progress again seems decent, but for now i will go back to the latest stable release...
