I'm very happily using this now, and very happy that (a) it's currently supported, so it plays nicely with Mavericks, and (b) that it correctly places itself in the menubar (I was using the discontinued BravoTunes until now, but it didn't like Mavericks). My only puzzlement is that the Pause/Play menu items are switched (in this version, at least) so that it says Play when it's already playing - this is not intuitive, given that it's an action (along with Next and Previous), and not a status item. I'd also like the option to change font size/face. Very nice otherwise, though.
Ignore my comments about the Pause/Play menu item - this only happened on the first playlist it played, and has now sorted itself out. It may have been something to do with that playlist having been actually playing already when I installed the app.
The current version (1.1.28) crashes my mac (running 10.8.4) if I leave SDL running after downloading a file. Nothing in any logs indicates any dodgy activity, but if SDL is running, after a while the mac hangs - and if it isn't, it doesn't. I can still use the mouse to move the cursor, but everything else is frozen, and only a restart gets me out of this. I've contacted the devs for help with this, but had no response so far. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Ah, as you mentioned to someone else here, my version is already 1.2, just says 1.1.28 in the app's own info pane. I have already contacted the devs with no response, but will have another go, thanks.
I've just started using this, in order to see what I'm doing while I speed-learn CSS. Very useful, easy to use - apart from not remembering the last-opened-doc layout, which means you have to resize and adjust the divider every time you open a doc. I'm getting round this now with an iKey shortcut.
Not sure how I feel about the new installer that doesn't let you choose the location.
I love this, simple, small, immediate. So pleased it still works after all these years and OS updates :).
This app is still a way more comfortable and user-friendly mac experience than OpenOffice or LibreOffice, which is why I'll carry on using it. I keep trying the others out to see how they're getting along, but they keep letting me down, especially on font rendering.
Important!! When installing v1.3 from the App Store, do NOT follow the instructions to run their deinstallation script for older versions (like 1.2.2) - until they fix the bug in their script, running this script will delete v1.3, and there will be no record in the App Store that you ever bought it. Should be fixed soon.
Aye, it turns out that although the App Store says you have to buy it again, once you try to, it acknowledges you already have, and lets you re-download the app.
What I miss most from WindowShade (since Lion made it stop working) is the click-to-hide option for the minimise button. I'm still doing this automatically, and then having to retrieve the app from the dock again! Does anyone know an app that allows the same configuration? I can live without the other things WS does, but this is a hard habit to kick.
No sound in the 64-bit version on 10.6.7 :(
This app is the business - especially the ability to tune how sensitive the Magic Mouse is to touch. I was trying other apps that kept firing off mouseclicks if I came to within 50 feet of the mouse :(.
General Settings::Mouse::1 & 2 Finger Taps & TipTaps is where the sensitivity settings are for taps.
