Not happy that VueScan is now adding itself to Dock again (and restarting it) when updated.
That's a workaround, not a solution.
It's easier for people who do want it in Dock to add it _once_ and have it remain there after each update done (well-behaved OS X app behavior) than it is for those of us who don't want it there to remove it after each update done.
Repeatedly forcing itself to stay in Dock is undesirable.
Lucky indeed. :)
From recent release notes:
What's new in version 9.4.34
Fixed problem with adding icon to dock on Mac OS X 10.9
That would be *Created* problem in my case, when this trouble started.
Some Dock-related stuff can be found in the app binary:
% strings /Applications/VueScan.app/Contents/MacOS/VueScan | grep -A 6 /usr/bin | head -6
* Requires an installation of Sound Siphon But its purchase isn't required, which is clarified here: Topic: Recording your Mac's audio | Static Z Software http://staticz.com/forums/topic/recording-your-macs-audio/
• Doesn't change visibility of Library folder on OS X Finally! Only took nearly two years. :)
"To celebrate the release Bartender will be on sale for $10 for 1 week until September 30th, 2013" … says this blog post: Bartender 1.2 Released http://www.macbartender.com/blog/bartender-12/ Going back to using OS X with overcrowded menubars without Bartender would be painful.
The $39.99 -60% "sale" price listed for 4.1.1 is actually the price for this current 10-app Metakine bundle: https://deals.macupdate.com/metakine/
I'm currently unable to download Command Line Tools using a free developer AppleID that successfully downloaded pre-5.0 versions.
Try it again, Sam-A. :) After posting here I checked developer.apple.com/downloads and neither Xcode 5 or Command Line Tools were listed, but both are there now and I've successfully downloaded/installed CLT directly from Xcode 5.
"Shareware ($69.95)" @ top-of-page != "Price: Free" @ sidebar
Hmm, previous comments have disappeared. Has there ever been an update without "Many other improvements" appended to WHAT'S NEW? :)
I couldn't find any info about v1 to v2 upgrade pricing but on the http://sintraworks.com/index.php/sintraworks/purchase_pdfnomad page it says: The regular price is $49.99 (€39,99), but until the end of June 2013 PDF Nomad 2.0 can be purchased for the introductory price of $24.99 (€19,99)!
Thanks for that quick clarification!
