It does one thing and one thing only. It Darkens/reduces the brightness/glare of your screen. You have a slider in the app to adjust the intensity. I'm sure you can figure out the reasons why you would want this, but i use it often and works "simples"

I would have actually bought this app now its out of beta, but the sync fee has just killed it for me. If i had not of come here first i would have paid and been hit with the stealth sync fee.

Looks wise , Its like a Trabant 601 but it works and its free. It will connect to the net and download information and artwork of any commercially available pdf's ebook's you have and fill in the missing details. It does a good job of converting pdf to epub except when it comes to the index of converted books (massive text, spaces , unnecessarily spanning numerous pages) going into the settings to try and make the index of converted books smaller, you are met with what seems like options to make your brain ache.

If you want to get mentally raped then use this. I agree, it is the worst software on macupdate. Customer support is probably some deaf old dear chained up in a leaky outhouse in the middle nowhere.

I really liked this software but it's poorly supported at the moment. I understand developers are human and have problems in life or just cant be bothered with stuff but this does impact on the devs credibility IMO. I wish there was more activity in the development of this app, i cant justify spending $50 on something that has the potential to be abandon-ware than a non beta release. When that day comes i would gladly support the Dev with a purchase.

New version still contains bugs. Try dropping six tiffs onto it and doing a resize and conversion to jpg in one go. I use one single tiff and it still crashes. Other than that it does work most of the time
