It's a little unfortunate that the first message received after purchasing the system was a message to contact support because the system is unable to validate the serial number. It does not provide any sense of confidence.

I've been using version 2. This product works well most of the time. It has quirks, and every now and then decides that it won't download files. Sometimes fixing it requires restarting the program or the computer, and then it works again. The most annoying thing is the license, which again every now and then needs to be re-entered. Now with the release of version 3, after downloading the new version, it indicated that my license key was for the previous version. So I paid for the upgrade. The new license key arrived minutes later, saying that it was for version 2, and when I entered that, I duly received a message saying that the license was for the wrong version. As a number of reviwers have said, these people can't get some of the basics right. That's a pity because when it works, the software is pretty good.

An email has been sent showing the screen. In addition, if they check the email that includes the activation code that was sent to me today, they will see that it is for version 2, not 3.

Pierre, the developer, has proven to be very responsive. Working through the issues listed in my previous review I've learned the Tembo does work as advertised. We've also uncovered some peculiar issues with the file dates in Mavericks. At the current discounted price, Tembo is the same price as DataLore. Both find the files with ease. Tembo's result listing by file type is appealing. DataLore's Quick Reference is very helpful. With a developer so willing to satisfy his customers, Tembo is a good choice.

This product is intended to simplify searching for documents. DataLore, the product that I have used for a couple of years has proved easy to use and reliable. It was only the superior results interface that convinced me to buy Tembo. After using it for a few hours it has proved to be unreliable. It fails to find files that I know are there, and that DataLore detects without hassle. Searchlight also finds the files, so there is a problem with this product. Until this issue is fixed, don't waste your money.

An example: there are a number of pages documents called "International CV.pages" each one files under the project for which it was submitted. DataLore finds all of them. Tembo finds one. The date it finds is the most recent one, but the folder shown is not the folder containing the most recent file, and none of the other files are shown. Before submitting the previous post I'd checked the preferences and that's not the issue. It is possible that this is related to Mavericks, so you may want start looking there.

I've been using Pins for over a year. This is a very useful way of working with bookmarks. Having the bookmarks outside of the browser is counterintuitive, until you decide to switch browsers. Yes there are add-ons that try to do that. This is easier. An then there's all the functionality that turn your bookmarks into a real resource. The software has not been without it's bugs, and there are still some features that I'd like to see. The couple of times I've contacted Fabio, his response has been immediate and determined to find a solution. It's good value even at the usual price. On discount today, it's a steal.

This plugin is no longer supported by the developer. The changes to OSX from Lion have stopped RapidCal from working. Refer the web page: http://www.rapidcal.com/index.html

At first I hated this app. Like many other reviewers, I felt that it was money wasted. One of the issues is that it does not automatically sync bookmarks across machines as is possible with a number of other free apps. But as a bookmark manager it excels. After importing my collection of bookmarks, and organizing them properly (after various bookmark synchronizers had created chaos), and adding the pins extension to the browser, my bookmarks are better than ever. Now, having chosen the appropriate folder it Pins, I can hit the pins icon once to add a page (or pages) to the folder where I want it. The search add-in in the Mac toolbar makes finding bookmarked sites a breeze. A decent sync capability would raise the rating to 5.
