I don't understand how is it possible that it still can't open iMovie for iOS projects!
Humm... Is this app dead? The development seems to have stopped completely . :(
Oh yes, I forgot the rating. So here it goes.
Almost one full year without any update / upgrade? Is the king (of mac utilities) dead?
Hi. Thanks for the info. I'm glad that you already tested under Mountain Lion without any problem. Personally, and that was my point, I'm always really afraid to use this kind of apps, that can potentially destroy the hard drive if there's some incompatibility with the new OS, without knowing that it's 100% safe. Let me just say that, a couple of OS versions ago, I already lost the info on a hard drive doing something like this. Thank you again for the info. Fardilha
If you have Mac OS X Lion Server and are thinking that you should try the FileMaker Server 12: DON'T! It doesn't even run after the installation.
I will refrain from rating, since I already sent a support email to the devs and I'm waiting to see how the feedback is going to be. On that email I only talked about what I consider to be the major problem, since all the other are irrelevant until that one is fixed, at least for me, but here I'll try to be a little more explicit. Right now I'm a little disappointed with the current version. I like the concept, a faceless app that, without any intervention of the user, picks the file on a certain folder, checks automatically for metadata, converts it using a predefined HandBrake setting and depending if it's a movie or a TV show sends that converted file to a specific folder (or directly to iTunes, but since I still need to add subtitles, I prefer to have them outside iTunes). The minor problems are: • Non recursive folder check, meaning that if I have a sub-folder with several files in it, it won't "see" them and doesn't start conversion • Although HandBrake allows the inclusion of subtitles in a simple and painless way, MMM doesn't support that. • Opening the processing queue while MMM is working results in a window that doesn't show the remaining files and that it's impossible to close again until the conversion process ends Medium problem: • When trying to directly use the HandBrake presets putting on the "custom" area something like this: --preset="AppleTV 2" the end result is usually worst (as in with macroblocks showing every once in a while) then the one using directly HandBrake GUI Major problem: • EVERY SINGLE TIME that MMM ends a conversion and need to move the final file to the proper folder it crashes. I don't know if it's related with the fact that the path to that folder has extended (latin) characters or what but it's a major pain in the... backside and makes MMM currently unusable to me.
I've been away from MMM practically since I wrote this last comment. I never expect bugs or other problems to be fixed immediately, programing is not... well, magic (apologies for the lame pun). I'm really glad to noticed that the dev improving MMM. As so, I just what to say to the dev: Thank you! Thank you for not let us down and kudos for the continuos hard work on developing this great and useful app.
I have to agree with the previous comment. This (2.0) version is far less user friendly and a lot worse, usability wise. Pretty much all my "complains" are in sjk post so I won't duplicate the info.
Works really well. Simple, no thrills and do what is expected to be done. Thank you dev!!
Can anyone of MacUpdate explain to me why MY screenshot from a post on the help forum, regarding a specific problem that I was having, is being used as the TeamDrive image????
Hi. No worries, I know that sometimes those things just happen. Thanks for the fast replay
I thought that the official client was Transmission. ;)
