I take that back—Scrapbook does already have tha bility to ignore clipboard events from specific apps. I just wasn't looking close enough.
Although I'd love to see Apple offer the ability to have a two-line menu bar or some other variation, apps like this are helpful for those of us with smaller screens and a lot of menubar items we like to keep. I tried some of the alternatives and enjoy the customizability of AccessMenuBarApps. Being able to activate it just with the mouse (by "pushing" the mouse to the top of the screen and/or by "knocking" the pointer twice against the top of the screen) as well as with a hotkey, makes it convenient enough to be worth it. Only problem is so far, the sound effect won't turn off without the visual effect also being turned off.
Hardly "the fastest way known to mankind to find and open apps." Dock menu freezes my system until I invoke the force-close menu. Menubar menu works alright. i don't see the advantage to this vs. simply adding the Applications folder to the dock.
This app is so much "in the spirit of Notational Velocity", as the description says, that it looks from my perspective like more of a near replica, including the fact that it has added some of the recent new features of NV, such as widescreen and tagging. And Notational Velocity was first, is still being developed, and is free (but I'm sure would happily accept user's donations for having developed this style of app first).
and by replica I mean rip-off
