I had trouble creating a Mavericks install USB flash drive until I tried reformatting the drive as GUID + Mac OS Extended (Journaled) I'd guess that Lion Disk Maker wipes the existing partition and creates a new one, but doesn't change the partitioning scheme if it isn't GUID.

Remember to check compatibility with whichever mods you have installed first. M'kay?

I love the name of this utility. (For those who don't get the reference, think: "The Lion Sleeps Tonight")

It's worth noting that this update (1072) is currently only available by letting Toast download and install the update. Hopefully it will soon be available as a .dmg file on the Roxio website.

I really hope this update fixes the crashes I experienced when I tried to print to PDF with an HP printer selected.

Just so people don't get confused, the download link currently points to Smultron 4, not Smultron 5. Remember to take a moment to check which version you're looking at before buying.

And Winclone 3.4 is now available. One new feature is Mountain Lion compatibility.

I'm not sure if this is a MacUpdate issue or something for the developer to look into, but the download link on the MacUpdate website points to a file with a meaningless name. The download link on the developer's site points to a more sensibly named .dmg file.

It is going to be interesting to see how useful this tool becomes on the Mac. I have found it very handy on Windows, as there, disk image files can't be mounted without a tool such as this. However, since Mac OS X is able to mount .iso files, the real value this tool will have is with the other image formats. In the end, it will depend how commonplace those other formats are in comparison to .iso.
