DriveDX is the same price and can do so much more - and offers a demo.
Unfortunately german localization is broken in the 2.3 build, which was confirmed by the author in 10/2012 and promised a fix "relatively soon". I believe it is corrected in the sources for ages now, but the official built is still broken since more than a year - which is why I am still on 2.2.1. Please, publish a build which fixes the issues of the 2.3 release, not everybody wants/is able to build from sources.
crashes on launch on my MacBook pro running 10.9.1. seems it is trying to load a library from a path which probably only exist on the developers computer (user ddennedy ?): Dyld Error Message: Library not loaded: /Users/ddennedy/Qt/5.2.0/clang_64/lib/QtCore.framework/Versions/5/QtCore Referenced from: /Applications/Shotcut.app/Contents/MacOS/lib/QtGui Reason: image not found
Version 3, which is a menu bar applet, misses an obvious interface element to quit the applet when I don't need it any more (cmd-q works when the menu is open). Haven't registered to try the pro features, but basic options seems to work fine.
Adobe Air :(
Version 2.1 works almost flawless for me. One issue remains - on MacBook pro 15" it triggers discrete graphics which is a battery hog and seems stupid for a radio app. Probably snowtape just calls for some libraries like core animation it does not really need. Emailed support about this end of 2012, but they do not seem to care about this issue.
Is there anything this App does Preview can't do already out of the box? Preview easily combines pdfs, and yes, you even can mix pdf s with image files.
I also reported this direct to Banjo weeks ago but got no reaction until now: on my MacBook pro 15" 2011, iStat Menus does not update the graphics chip correctly. It sticks with whatever graphics was on when iStat was launched and doesn't notice at all when graphic has switched (Intel/AMD). Also, temperatures and current of the AMD graphics are reported wrong when iStat still thinks integrated graphics is used. iStat Menues 3.x also had lot of similar issues, but after a couple of updates it was sorted out. To bad 4.x broke it again, and that after 4.x got some rapid updates the first days to fix the most serious stuff now pace to clean up the rest seems to have slowed down. I also would prefer if iStat 4 would show current total energy consumption in watt like iStat 3 did - I found this the most intuitive Figure to quickly check the "energy" state of the system to figure out if consumption is higher than I would expect (which usually means something is wrong).
Always defaults to the first Printer in the alphabet (which on my mac is the one which is usually not available) even if another default printer is set. THIS SUCKS BIG TIME. Please, adobe, use the system print dialogue like you did until Reader 9 instead messing everything up with your own one. Your print settings on Mac are simply a mess!
Great features, works with FireFox - only complaint: scrolling is still sloooow and cho o oo pp y... this really sucks... if this could be fixed it would be 5 stars +
