Beyond Compare was the one and only reason I used such Tools like Wine or VMWare. No other folder/file diff tool comes close to Beyond Compare. Finally it arrived on Mac and one thing is for sure: Even in it's Beta-Version it is already way better than any other diff tool on Mac I know of. And I know most of them. I am totally satisfied with the Beta Version. Thanks to the developer for releasing a mac version.
I use it since 2007 and never had a problem on any version of Mac OSX. It simply does it's job very well.
Version 3.8.3 update on Mavericksmakes HoudahSpot now displaying Finder label colors as dots. AAAH. Come on. This is a bug, not a feature. Please add this to the preferences. I would like to keep the old way of displaying the label colors.
Just installed the Trial version and it look great. Unfortunately it is limited the US, as the currency used is only $. No chance to change it to €. The app I need is already on my mac but I can't use it...so frustrating. Hope the developer will add other currencies soon.....
OK, I was totally wrong. Forget everything I mentioned in my previous comment, except that I really like Studiometry. However, I must have been blind, this app supports multiple currencies of course... I think that at the end of the trial period I am going to buy it. So far I am satisfied...
I am using Yate for exactly one year now intensively and it never let me down. It never crashed, never messed up my audio files or mp3 tags or showed some other strange or unwanted behaviour. The app has been regulary updated, so obviously the developer is working hard to improve the app, I really appreciate that. If you are serious about your very large itunes library and correct tagging, this is the best app to go. I think it is the most powerful app of it's kind on the mac platform. To me the killer feature is the "discogs wizard" to import data from discogs.com. Especially if you are more into underground music you will really love this feature. However, as this is a powerfull app there is a moderate learning curve, of course. But it's really not bad at all, it just takes some time to find your own workflow with it... The current pricing is an absolute bargain in my eyes.
I am using this app since Version 1 and I've been always happy with it. There are some apps that belong on every mac, this is one of them.
no try no buy. and bye.
A great App. I never had any problems with im- and export of .cue files or any other mentioned problems with burning or converting using .cue files. Again: a fantastic app with lots of features. Also never needed support as it just works.
MacUpdate should seriously think about managing all those different Versions of Apps. NZBVortex MAS Version is now different than normal download Verrs´ion. Same with 1Password, Dropbox and Prizmo at the moment. I still like Macupdate Desktop but those false positives should be reduced. Also there should be a discussion how to treat certain Apps sepereately for each major version. Like Adobe Creative Suite Apps. I still own CS5.5 and I am not planning to upgrade and there might be possible updates (security fixes).
Seriously, don't even try Skitch 2.x. Download and use Skitch 1.x instead. This is a perfect example of how a big company takes over a small developer with a great app and destroys everything. I think that the Evernote people don't even have an idea what Skitch 1.x was about. And after all this time they have taken over Skitch an got negative Feedback about their new Skitch 2.x, they changed exactly nothing. I am an Evernote premium user and I like it. But with Skitch 2.x they made every imaginable mistake one could think of.
