This is a really nice pixel editor. Well planned and designed. I like the popup HUD for tools, colors, layers, etc. Speedy to work with.

Nice with GUI apps like this. For those who want to convert FLAC to MP3 via commandline, the following is a pretty sweet method. The instructions have been made very basic so that pretty much anyone should be able to follow along. 1. Open a terminal app (e.g. Terminal.app, iTerm, etc.) 2. Install Homebrew (http://brew.sh) if you haven't already by pasting in this command and hit return: ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.github.com/Homebrew/homebrew/go/install)" 3. Paste in this command to install commandline programs FLAC and LAME: brew update && brew install flac 4. Change directory to a folder containing .flac files you wish to convert to .mp3: type cd and drag&drop the folder onto the terminal application's window, then press return. 5. Type in this command and hit return (N.B. you may change bitrate, in this case 192, to something else): for f in *.flac; do flac -cd "$f" | lame -b 192 - "${f%.*}".mp3; done Wait for conversion ... Done!

I have two questions before deciding to purchase this: 1. Does it require Mail to be open or otherwise it fails to send later? 2. What if the computer is in sleep mode?

One of all time finest Mac apps out there.

My understanding is that AudioSwitcher can't toggle output source between plugged in headset and e.g. the Mac's internal speakers. If this is correct, a few questions arise: Is that possible at all? If yes, might AudioSwitcher sport this feature in the future? And if not to the latter, are there other alternatives? (I don't mean to derail the focus on AudioSwitcher, in which case I apologize.)

By headset I mean things like typical earphones plugged into the mini tele jack; I'm not referring to a USB headset.

Yes, I tried but was unable to toggle between headset/internal speakers.

Looking very interesting. One thought before evaluating: Where's the pricing plan? I couldn't see it on the vendor's website. I'd like to see this up front so I can assess whether this is a viable solution or not for me.

In follow-up to my previous comment: Since the vendor's site explicity says "We design and build iPhone and iPad apps for your business", there's a good reason to suspect they've simply ditched their Mac app efforts without further notice, and thus the app deserves to be review accordingly. Pardon my grief, but this kind of business conduct sucks. (To this date, it's about a year since the app was released, with already mentioned shortcomings.)

I don't want to write a negative review because I am still naive enough to hope for some sort of refinement of this app. As is, this app is very rough around the edges. My main grief is that you can't even paste a URL link in the address field ... Why, oh why, can't you do that? Really, this should be a quick fix that I belive shouldn't involve any headaches whatsoever to implement, right. The other wish is that Aptus had some kind of simple bookmark feature, so you can quickly retrieve those websites you're currently working with. And User Agent settings per site would also be great. Things like that. Here's hoping the vendor spends a few hours shaping things up, at least normal copy/paste operation for the address field.

Can this be used in a multiple-user setting, sharing the same data via Dropbox?
