The latest version [v5.2] keeps showing the window on startup/reboot even when the preferences are checked to hide on launch. A bit annoying but not a "deal breaker". Emailed the developer and got this reply: "Have you tried just closing the window by clicking the icon?" WTH kinda support answer was that? Anyway, I do like what it does. But if I'm paying any amount of money for an app I would expect it to work the way the options are selected. Confidence is low not because of the dev's reply. I will be checking some forums about this bug. . .
I'm sure the developer won't mind me linking the Softonic review on this site. One of three, this should help MAC users with deciding about this app. . . http://magican.en.softonic.com/mac
A VERY worth while link from bluehour73: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3868569?start=0&tstart=0 * The expression ‘malware’ is a general term used by computer professionals to mean a variety of forms of hostile, intrusive, or annoying software.* I took the time to research this on Apple's and other tech forums. NEVER have I seen such a vile and intrusive marketing/program as MacKeeper! I promise you. If you are considering a utility program for your Mac do not even consider this one. If "expert after expert" even tells you not to use this, what possess you to spend money to puchase this [©®æp] anyway? Do the research I have done. You'll be happy you took the time to do it. . .
I am really struggling to like this app. The two MAJOR things that are stopping me from using it full time is: 1) No IMAP push support for now (realtime) 2) While open it uses nearly 20% of my CPU cycle time. GUI is perfect and simple on a MAC. The way it should be. And it supports multiple languages with ease. The developer has been very responsive so I know the two concerns will be addressed soon. For now it like a little gem to be taken out and "shown off" here and there. . .
This newest verion : xld-gui-20120407 does not launch for me. Is anyone else having this problem?
Correction. English is not supported in this version. . .
So far so good. Larger capacity service than some others. The only thing I would ask is the ability to browse the files via the finder rather than the app or web. Good start.
