Nvidia is offering this 6.0.51 version, along with a web driver to complement OS 10.9.4 (13E28), for MacPro's 3,1 4,1 and 5,1. After installation (tried a couple times), the preference pane continues to announce that it is NOT up to date after log-off and/or re-boot. It does accept the update if you downgrade to an earlier version, however, after a re-boot or log out / lot in, it continues to report that an update is needed, even though it recognizes 6.0.51 as currently installed.
OWC is spread too thin to properly address this issue. I say this based on years of these cyclic firmware updates that work only marginally. By 'work', I mean the update process itself. This is mitigated a bit now that they've provided for the update via USB; the failure to update announcement (see below) is now much quicker. Once installed on the only SSD out of four it detects, the firmware presumably works well - completely transparent. The update process itself sucks, based on years of attempts to update OWC's 6G SSD's in a 4,1 MacPro's four native bays. The update has always updated the SSD in bay 1, but does not see those in bays 2-4, even when the updated SSD in bay 1 is removed. OWC's tech people are always polite and engaged while on the chat or phone, it's the follow up that fails. Keep trying
yes, the USB volume that the download produced is self-entitled OWCFWUP80E
This addresses Adobe's transition away from user based apps to cloud based apps. I have invested thousands in Adobe suites for years - decades if you count non-suite apps and before suites were suites. Up to and including the extended CS6 suite. When I note that PhotoShop is updated to 13.05. I check mine - it's at 13.01. The auto update does not work. I download the 13.05 update offered here (Macupdate) and get a message stating it will not update my 13.01. Adobe chat offers this: One moment please while we route your chat to a representative. Thank you for contacting Adobe Sales. My name is McNeil. How may I help you today? McNeil: Hi, may I have your first name please? you: Hi, This is .I have the complete CS6 suite installed, but I cannot receive the same app updates as those on the cloud - am I now stuck with old CS6 apps? McNeil: We plan to sell CS6 for use on supported platforms indefinitely. Adobe will continue to make Creative Suite 6 available as a perpetual software license, and will provide bug fixes and security updates as necessary. you: So, if my Photoshop shows version 13.01 and 13.05 is being pushed to the cloud and mine won't see the update, what happens? McNeil: We will give you free updates until we have new release but, from the new release onward, you'll not get free updates if you're not in Cloud. McNeil: So, I'd suggest you to buy the Creative Cloud at just $19.99/month now and be an active member to get all future upgrades freely. you: Let me make sure I understand . . . after investing thousands, thousands of dollars over the years updating Adobe suites, I now find that I'm stuck with 13.01 unless I invest more money in a cloud app? Is that right - no more updates beyond 13.01? McNeil: I really understand your point however, most of our customer were moving Creative Cloud. you: Hello? Adobe's waiting for me to pay them $20 a month for an app in the cloud - is that right -- after paying thousands for the local CS6 suite? McNeil: Creative Cloud brings together everything you need to create your best work. We’re delivering incredible new versions of our desktop tools, services that take publishing content to the next level and we’re making it easier than ever for creatives to collaborate and share your work worldwide with just one package. McNeil: Yes, that's right. you: Sorry, I'm just not seeing any connection beyond greed. I know it's not you, but please pass this along to whomever cares - customer support, the boss, whomever. This is going to drive many people away. Thanks for the info McNeil: Since you own the CS6, you'll be qualified for the discount. so the final price will be just $19.99/month instead of $49.99. you: $19.99 = ask those at the Adobe HQ on Park Ave in SJ to look out the window at the homeless and tell me again it's no problem forking over $20 a month for a product I just spent thousands on. Simple greed. I'll be looking for alternatives - Adobe lost a long-time customre. Thanks and bye. Pass this along please. McNeil: I’m happy to help. Is there anything else I can help you with today ?
Software publisher said the Apple Store will not let them offer upgrade pricing for earlier purchasers. All the same price no matter what. Just buy it again and give us some dinero. Really? Try Amadeus. No upgrade / update problems there and it works just fine.
3.3.0 re-introduces request for donation when uit is chosen, even after donations made months ago. ??
And, yes, I forgot to update through the app that was already donated to. Thanks.
I think this download is still 6.0.2
and now . . . . it says 6.0.3. Go figure. Just one of those things, you know?
OOOOPS V 2.02 requires X11 - that's the message it sends out when it launches. It then provides a link presumable to download it from one of Apple's servers, but, X11 is no longer available. What next?
Yes - thank you Snowlprd dude (dudette?) - XQuartz installed and VLC MP 2.02 launches again

Let's see, M$ updated the updater, but not the app the updater is supposed to update. Seem to recall shortly after Lion was released almost a year ago, M$ kept saying they were about to release the M$ Office package to take advantage of all the new OS bells and whistles. Two maintenance updates later (which had nothing to do with OS enhancements), still waiting. Wait . . . no really, maybe this update will update an updater that will update the app. After OS 10.9.
Mountain Lion (OS 10.8) developers head's up: problems again with the new OS and this mainstay of Mac accounting - same as before with OS 10.7 a year ago; printing problems for at least invoices (app hangs); Intuit's response - wait until the public release of the OS like last time go away and leave us alone. OK.
