Very nice update. Specially the the clock menu which is much better. Seems to be pretty light for the system resources.
Once again, a security update that breaks a running system... Really tired to re-install services completely because of faulty java updates
The app is nice. BUT, a process stays active even after MacUpdate Desktop is closed. This is not necessary. At least the user should have an option to deactivate it. Is MacUpdate going to spyware ?
Even if the menu bar item in the preferences is deactivated, the process keeps running after the user quits MacUpdate Desktop. This appears in the activity monitor of Mac OS X.
Why does it connect to d1t4l16dpbiwrj.cloudfront.net at start ??? It seems there is no option to avoid it. Please change this.
Upgrade price is more than 73% of the full price. Equinux is trying to make fear advertising that version 6 is not supported on Mavericks. So far, I had no problem with version 6 on Mavericks, except annoying message at startup to annonce "VPN Tracker is not supported on this version of OS X... Use at Own Risk" This is looks like a very bad marketing practice to force the users to upgrade.
Excellent tool, but no possibility to avoid phoning home, except with "Little Snitch". Should we accept this because it is free ?
To Y-Guy, yes I do realize and I have no problem with this functionnality I do no use. Skitch could connect only when uploading pictures to it's servers, and not at every start of the application. So if a user don't need to upload pictures on Evernote Cloud, there is no necessity to connect there. This is a question of privacy respect.
This is a very nice application, but why does it need to connect to skitch.com every time the app is launched ? There is no option to disable this. Is skitch.com collecting data of their users ?
This application has some unique features, like the ability to define your own meta data. It would be perfect if a server edition existed.
I expected to buy simply a standalone game. But "Civilization" cannot be launched without "Steam". Steam requires an Internet Connexion. I don't want the software editor, Epic, to be informed each time I'm launching a single user game. Yes there is an offline mode for "Steam". But all this way of acting makes me doubt of Epics's ethics.
This feature is already included in iPhoto. Simply press the "alt" key while launching iPhoto...
