Truly a must-have tool for Applescript Professionals and for serious hobbyists. I was not delighted with the oddball nature of Applescript when it debuted in 1993 or with the amateurish tools available for working with it. Fortunately Script Debugger v1.0 came out in 1995, I bought a copy, and I've been happily upgrading for 17 years now. Script Debugger makes discovering how scriptable applications work not just possible but relatively easy with its searchable dictionary, object-model, and explorer-view. Its library attachment mechanism makes reusing code very simple and streamlined. Version 5 now supports regular-expression-based search/replace and has many other enhancements. As usual I'm really pleased with the upgrade.
Developers who fail to provide screenshots of their products should not expect many people to download them. Right or wrong - to me the omission of screenshots indicates someone who is either lazy or who doesn't think much of their own product. In either case I'm not interested. -ccs
Glad to see the screenshot go up on MacUpdate. I didn't find one on the dev's site though which prompted my original post.
Hey Fredrik, I don't care for the warning about LT needing to be in the Application Folder - particularly when it already *is* there. Why not just test for it and complain only if it's not there? on run set appFolder to path to applications folder set myPath to path to me tell application "Finder" set myParent to (parent of myPath) as alias if appFolder ≠ myParent then display dialog "Please Move Lion Tweaks to the Application Folder." end if end tell end run -- Best Regards, Chris
That's cool. Thank you. -ccs
