Hello, Some configurations indicate an error while checking the disk, ignore this function for the moment. I work on this problem and I will correct it in the next version...

Hi, Some details: OnyX can't wreck your computer. It's simply impossible because no essential file is deleted. Reinstalling OS X after using OnyX is totally useless and illogical. If problems appear with OS X, they can be caused, for example, by the System's hidden functions being activated by the user without understanding the consequences of this action. Written in the help (Important Information): "If one of those functions causes a problem, turn it off. Do not forget: If a function is hidden, there must be a good reason..." The interface changes a little between versions of OnyX, but there are deep changes under the surface between each OnyX version, and it follows the evolution of OS X. Improvements are constantly being made in OnyX to address modifications and improvements that Apple includes in new versions of OS X. It is easy to point at an application and to believe that the application is responsible for causing problems that a user experiences. But the solution may be elsewhere! For example: Problem:User believes that OnyX broke the Apple menu, and selecting multiple files and folders is not possible anymore. Solution: The user has activated the hidden function: "Show the interface level switching." Just turn off this option and restart and everything will be in order!! Problem: After using OnyX, the Mac displays a black screen with hieroglyphs at startup. Solution: You have selected the single user mode without reading the included help!! Problem: Errors, hanging, or crashes occur at startup. Solution: Have you checked the disk for problems before? When I added the feature to provide verification of the disk, many people have said that it was useless on a Mac! Wrong! This verification is essential, and errors in the structure of the system files are not uncommon and can have disastrous consequences if they're not repaired, including loss of data and corruption of files. Volume Structure problems and bad blocks on a hard drive can cause system instability and a wide range of problems. I am the largest OnyX user (of course), and I have not experienced a problem (nor have most users). It is easy to say that OnyX is responsible for a problem when we do not have enough information to know the cause. Extreme example, but true: - "OnyX has deleted my data!" - "Where were your files?" - "In the Cache folder in my Library." - "No comment!" We must learn to use OS X and also OnyX. We must also learn to provide feedback when we experience a problem, including information about your computer configuration, detail on any error messages that appear, Console logs, Disk Utility logs, and logs from any third-party repair application that you may choose to use. I can provide help, but only if I have enough information from you in order to do so. If you believe that there is a bug in OnyX, then I need for you to let me know and I will try to look into it. Want more info? You can read the Help, read the official Support Forums, or contact me by email...

The sartfiles folder is the SArtFile.bin file decoded. This folder contents the images of the background in the login window. =) Deeper (and OnyX) deletes this folder when quitting. Thanks Sanchai, please contact me by email... =)

Yes younkint, you can delete the /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CoreUI.framework/Versions/A/Resources/sartfiles folder... but Deeper (and OnyX) automatically delete it when quitting the application. =)
