Ableton Live + Ableton Push = AWESOMENESS Thank you for making such great products.
This is by far the best free image editor you can get your hands on. I still prefer Pixelmator for the nicer GUI but in general both are very good. For me simple: If you have some cash, buy Pixelmator. Else use this.
I never liked Acorn but the current buzz for v2 did trigger me to try it out again. But .. it is still a dead wrong image editor. It just doesn't feel right. All the GUI windows are a mess and you get lost pretty soon. The layering system is better compared to the previous versions though. Sorry, Pixelmator is still way better.
Sound Studio is awful! Really, it is painfully slow in UI updating, zooming is slow, it crash heavy and the GUI is insanely bad thought-out. I just cannot believe this app is marked as a a 'Hot App'. Its really not a good one. I highly recommend someone at MU does take a closer look at Triumph. Its way better!
doubtfully the best ftp app for OS X. It is also pretty much the fastest I used. It always uses the whole bandwidth. For example Cybderduck is painfully slow doing this. A bit high price tag but nevertheless recommended.
I never had any needs for VM apps but I bought a Retina last week. Beautiful MBP but the sucker only runs ML. So no OSX10.6 SL anymore ... :-/ Because I need SL to run an older DJ app that does not work well with ML I had no option to go VM. :) And guess what, it is so simple to use I just love using VMs now. Very convenient to work with. Highly recommended.
@Misha Installed the demo of Parallel Desktop version 7.0.15 and used a dmg of Mac OS 10.6.4 to install. Install wend fine. After the first boot I upgraded to 10.6.8 without any problems. If I can do it, you can for sure.
As a profession I have literally tried every little and big DJ app on earth. The one I disliked the most is djay. It is so DJ unfriendly and above all unstable. It has serious problems with audio latencies, pitching is still not accurate and several other little annoyances. "a hyper-realistic turntable interface" .. not ! Tracktor and Itch are still the two best DJ tools. Yes they cost more but do you really want your gig get smashed up because the software you use is unstable? Think not..
The ultimate uninstall tool - combined with Ifilex - that can really find every related item.
Simple audio converter and working fine. Nice it is free.
My fav tweaker tool for OSX10.8 - cool !!
