Only problem with this app is that it seems to not carry any metadata over from the source file. Too bad.

Great software. While re-written documentation or a simplified user interface might help if one tries to do some of the more complex tasks the app can do, transcoding or re-wrapping videos into iOS or OSX compatible formats works beautifully. Rarely I find a video crafted in some bizarre fashion that MP4Tools doesn't like but Handbrake usually can deal with it. It's good to have a number of tools handy but MP4Tools is my go-to app first.

Love this app. I don't need to buy an tv to get my iPad's screen on my iMac's display; Reflection does it perfectly. I can connect my Mac to a projector and send my iPad screen over to it so I can do demos switching between the iPad and the Mac seamlessly. (No tv/HDTV available where I demo.) Excellent tech support. Works great under 10.8, as well.

Nice app. Does what it says. Ugly user interface (looks like it's a Windoze port) but that can be forgiven as it works well.

What a lifesaver! My Snow Leopard Mac simply won't recognize the video fed through an old Sony DVMC1 media analog media convertor into the FireWire port. Even running iMovieHD (v6.0.4), which was designed specifically for DV input and worked perfectly with older Macs, just didn't work. So, in desperation, I tried recdv and, right away, it recognized the Sony and works perfectly. Not too many features but, hey!, it gets the job done; my video (200+GB of DV) was digitized into my Mac and I can edit the footage in iMovie or FCP. Show me where to donate. :D
