I can't say I used a lot of features of the iTunes during last years, but I did use the app on daily basis: radio, my MP3s, my CDs ripping etc. And I personally hate this new interface, for it it's simply wrong and ugly. Yes, some people find it nice, even beautiful, but for me it's quite wrong and bad in both look and feel. AND By the way, even damn day I have some slight issues with internet radios - a connection problems from either my side or server side. And each day I see that damn popup window "Reconnecting". And it reconnects in 50% cases only. In second 50% cases I have to do what? I have to find this damn window (somewhere), close it and re-connect manually. And this thing annoys me for years. And it haven't been fixed yet.
At my opinion, this app has only one serious problem: the upgrade policy. I bought a version 3 years ago and decided to avoid the first upgrade I was offered due to the big upgrade price. Since those day they have release 2 more paid upgrades and each time the upgrade price is unbelievably high. So, if I would use the app daily, I would have already paid for it 4 times!! Thanks, but there are VMware and even free VirtualBox as alternatives.
I have spent some time looking for a financial app and this one looked really interesting and promising. I liked the description, video and so on, but... Where is DEMO? You know, a big "Download" button on the website, did I miss it? Since Mac AppStore conquered the Mac world, this funny style "buy-before-you-try" became really annoying.
Levelbest, Original comment was written almost a year ago, the things could have changed during this period of time. The app looked fine even year ago, but demo should really help in order to make a decision, good if there is one now.
Worst IDE ever. Really. Since the update to the XCode 4 (forced, to be honestly), I'm not coding my apps, I'm FIGHTING. Everyday I'm fighting with all the issue this crapy IDE has: with the syntax highlight being turned off occasionally, with the autocomplete disappearing, with the crashes, crashes and crashes everywhere, with the UI being changed a little bit with every freaking update, that are actually issued twice a month. I have to force myself to work, every single day - just because I HATE this damn XCode. I never had that much bad emotions with XCode3, although it was pretty weak as IDE comparing to, let's say, Visual Studio. Damn, and there is no alternative, actually!
Lkir, Yeah, the nicest one. In 2012 the syntax highlight still works from time to time, Interface editor is much weaker than the old one from Borland IDEs on 90's and there is still no normal integration between debugger and the IDE - to check out the variable I still have to use console and gdb commands. Yep. Funny.
Since Dec 2, 2011 Google has turned public translation service off. So, the app won't work :(
Dear users! I have mistakenly uploaded a build with the protection turned off, i.e. it didn't accept any license. This issue is solved and the proper build is already uploaded - please, re-unstall the app. You don't have to purchase the license again, "Fumy" accepts old "Smoke" licenses.
I might be wrong, however, it seems like Safari (or any other browser) does almost the same with on-line Wiki. Search, bookmarks, languages switch etc. Too few unique options to persuade me to purchase. Plus it's AppStore-only, even at $.99 I don't like to purchase blindly.
And all this 5-star ratings are from the fresh "I-have-just-registered" users. Yep, they were just waiting for the chance to spread the world...
This new user interface is just awful. It's fancy, it's Mac-way and so on, but with the same success they could clone PhotoShop or Chess-game UI. Because the new one is definitely NOT an interface of a messenger app. Those old one was really better, at my taste. Can't say anything about the glitches - I've trashed the app after 5 minutes of looking on it. Will look for an older version to stick with it for a while.
It looks like a year later Mac platform will be full of useless $1-apps for every single task. People! It's not an iPhone, it's Mac!
