With location services turned off, this app doesn't work. With location services on, the app thinks I live inside the HQ of an ISP somewhere in Vermont. Without an easy-to-find setting for custom location, this app is nonsense. I shouldn't have to guess that a right-click on the menu bar icon will reveal the "quit" and redundant "open weather" options. I am giving four stars for stability: it has been "loading" for twenty minutes without crashing. I would prefer an unexpected quit. This should not be sold for money until it is out of beta.
The Dropbox promise was trust. Now I suppose it's poor judgement. Until a fews ago I was a 100GB paid user. Five-star software is of no use if I can't trust them with my data. This is regrettable.
The demo allows for five lookups, which is not nearly enough. Three lookups resulted in a dialog box stating multiple addresses were found, but it did not show them. Will the paid version show them? One of five lookups worked. I'm not going to give a poor rating for this because it *may* work well, but I am also not ready to pay 100% of $10 for a 20% success rate from a 2-minute test drive. I suggest increasing the demo to 20 lookups. I see that others have posted similar experiences in the past.
I have tested this application and find that it works flawlessly, as advertised. If mine were a review strictly on ease of use I would give it five stars. What this app lacks (at minimum) is a visual differentiation between content the artist has purposely made available for download and all the other material that the artist has, for whatever reason decided not to make available for download. This application downloads everything, as we all know. I appreciate that the author has had the foresight to provide a popup, which after allowing the user of Soundcloud Downloader to gain access to commercial content (stuff for sale)—including copyright-protected material—it "suggests" (a bit too late, IMHO) that the user support the artist. I would like to know when I'm pirating content and when I'm not. Considering the current trend by governments to find reasons to suppress Internet freedom, I urge the author to consider ALL parties and redesign the application with a more mature approach.
