Version 1.00 has already been available (free) on the App Store since 29 July.
Almost perfect. Just needs a way to quickly & easily add & edit playlists.
Was great but unfortunately hasn't worked at all for me now, for a few weeks. Developer's website also seems to be MIA - "Site not found"
Skype obviously consider customers & their opinions as nothing more than an annoyance. It's incredible they don't even have the common courtesy to reply to or give any kind of explanation or timeline for a solution to the thousands of extremely dissatisfied end-users. No, just the opposite, they totally ignore the wishes of the masses, & just dictate what they want to do… - pity they can't be dealt with like other unwanted dictators such as Saddam & Gaddafi.
My favorite utility, *ever* - I bought this back in 2005 & it's stil working perfectly countless times a day, every day, totally glitch-free through every OS X update, including Snow Leopard. Not just a hot-key application launcher, it will also perform system actions, open AppleScripts, URLs, paste text, add addresses, perform mouse events/actions etc. Recently unable to find Trufsoft website any more, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed & hoping the Universal Binary version HotApp 1.9.2u works in Lion too! (...my new Mac should be delivered next week)
Nice app, easy to understand & use. Developer is very responsive & friendly, quick to address any problems. Recommended.
Downloaded & tried this, gave up after 1/2 day, deleted & now using 2.8 again. I find even 2.8 can be *slightly* too big for me at times, especially when working with multiple windows open in other apps but wanting to keep an eye on Skype to type an occasional quick response or drop file on contact to send. Seldom use it for video, though often for voice calls. I certainly don't want or 'need' it to be any bigger than 2.8, and this certianly is. Also badly miss the green icons with clock & moon for "away' & 'not available'. Far prefer them over the amber "away' which I find (when using Skype on my iPhone) stops many users sending messages - they only send when they see green. Other's get angry if no 'instant response' when showing 'available', so I usually switch to 'away' if i'm around but not 100% focussed on Skype (& to "not available" if I'm tied up doing other stuff for a while). The old system was far better, as I was still showing "green" - "go ahead & send your message", but with the 'away' icon with clock, so if there's a short delay before I reply, it's expected, & there's no need for the other party to get annoyed... IMHO whatever was wrong or lacking in 2.8 that needed upgrading, it wasn't the user interface, which is pretty good & a very convenient size. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
