This is indeed a simple clean, even crisp .rtf word processor and, unlike so many others in a flooded market, it provides an assortment of tab types (centered, decimal, etc.). But for me it needs a way to create a template (the program has no preferences) so I can set default font and size.
This program has done literally everything I've asked it to do. The only problem I have with it is that something in my system causes it to think I've pirated it and I have to re-enter my serial number quite frequently. Highly recommended.
Gee, I've tried demos of programs purporting to do what this one does over the years and have gotten some horrible results among the good ones. Be careful at least to read some reviews of this, since there seems to be no demo available.
Also away from Easyframe for a time, bought a new iMac and reinstalled Easyframe, entered my original serial number, and off I went. Fine little program (enhanced substantially by my downloading many frames from the sources the developer suggests on his website - or used to, at least.
I bought this program and loved it until I got a new iMac with no line in port. Without that port TapeDeck can't record anything but from the computer's microphone. A whole host of new audio recording software is out now that lets you record sound from within applications. TapeDeck is not one of them. If you're contemplating purchasing a new Mac, consider some better, more avant garde recording software.
This developer's website lists a single license at a price twice as high as the $14.95 shown on MacUpdate above. I wrote to the company, and they informed me in their usual terse manner that (1) $29.95 is the actual price and (2) there is no such thing as an upgrade price. You want the latest version? - buy it over again.
This works only with Address Book, and not with Apples 10.8 replacement (Contacts). If you're using the latest operating system, don't bother downloading PostCheck (but what a great need need this program could meet if it kept up with its host).
I can't install v. 1.2.2 over existing v1.2.0 on my iMac 3.06 mgh running system 10.8.1. I get an icon with a circle and line through it (instead of the original) which, when double-clicked, won't launch, reporting a damaged or incomplete program file. This happens whether I use MacUpdate's download or the download on the developer's site. Fortunately, I had a v1.2.0 backup. MAKE SURE YOU DO!
Sent a copy of this stationery to myself as a test. The graphic in the header did not come through, the stationery beige color was truncated by †he letter's body (dark gray with black text barely visible) and a dark gray line stretched through the return address which the stationery did supply without prompting) in the header. Running a pretty quick iMac, but this is 3rd generation stationery, it says, so it may be me...
Sent this to myself as a test; body of the letter came through in dark gray with text barely visible and beige stationery color top and bottom showed no graphic. I'm on a pretty quick iMac, but this is version 3 of this stationery, so maybe it's me...
