Mac enthusiast programmer - MacUpdate is searching for a programmer enthusiastic about the Mac to join our dynamic team. You will work on Web 2.0 and Mac application development projects. Particularly on the main MacUpdate.com site, and also future development of our ecommerce storefront MUPromo.com.
- 5-10+ years experience developing Web-based applications;
- Expert knowledge of MySQL and/or other RDBMS
- Expert knowledge working with PHP, DOM, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX technologies;
- Experience with source control (CVS, SVN, etc...);
- Work on substantial multi-person projects;
- Functional grasp of Perl, Ruby, Python, etc...;
Location: Anywhere. Ideal locations: Austin, TX, Ann Arbor or Kalamazoo, MI.
- Strong Cocoa development skills for Macintosh application development is a plus.
- Unix system administration skills - especially RHEL - is a plus.
- Experience building ecommerce store front and managing beginning-to-end processes of software sales and affiliate programs similar to what eSellerate or Kagi provide, is a strong bonus.
You can work from home with set hours during normal U.S. business hours, 40-50 hours a week. Full health coverage included in the form of extra compensation to cover individual health plans, based on your geography. Compensation is negotiable. Position is available ASAP.

Online Sales Manager - MacUpdate is searching for an Online Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. As Online Sales Manager you will be responsible for acquiring, growing and retaining key relationships with advertising agencies and direct clients, as well as shaping advertising strategies and spearheading revenue growth.
MacUpdate is a Michigan-based virtual enterprise with employees also located in Colorado, Texas, and Mexico. Prospective candidates may reside anywhere to their liking and will work from home, but are expected to work during U.S. business hours.
Agency and client relationships will be established primarily through emails and phone calls, with limited opportunities for in-person meetings during the year or as justified.
The ideal candidate will have experience selling ads to IT-related clients and should carry some established contacts with them. Knowledge of the Mac and iPhone markets is heavily preferred.
The Online Sales Manager will work with and report directly to the COO.
Qualifications
