The Ringtone Converter is a software program for Apple Mac systems that allows you to add new ringtones to your mobile phone without the need for cables or expensive premium rate SMS services
The Ringtone Converter supports most models of phone including Audiovox, Alcatel, Ericsson, Kyocera, Motorola, Nokia, NEC, Panasonic, Philips, Sagem, Samsung, Sony, Sendo and Siemens handsets, with more added every month.
Version 4.4.3 adds the following:

- Bug fix : Save as now appends correct file extension for iMelody when used immediately after file load.

ERIC I don't understand. It says that you can send tones to your phone without cables, but it appears that all this program does, is make files for songs. How do you actually get it to your phone?

DUNDA Some phones have IR (Infared Red) or Bluetooth support built into them, and in order to transfer graphic, tones, music, etc to the phone without cables, your phone will need to support these as well as your computer. For example, my Macintosh has bluetooth built in, and all of our cell phones support bluetooth. My wife's cell phone also supports IR, but only her PDA has infared red support for transfering contacts and such. Hope this helps.

LOUIE A. good program. but the update didnt update anything. it says it supports polyphonic, but doesnt. I wish it had LG support for my other phone.

THE REST OF THE WORLD so MoTo, I guess you're another american schmo who believes the world begins and ends in America? look at the other comments. LG is a niche player in most other markets - Nokia, sony Ericcsson and Moto(no pun intended) make up the big three. So no, You aren't the number one priority for the developer, nor should you or any of your redneck american Verizon LG using friends. How bout you write a program then? Quit whinging.

SILLYB Man, why so much hate. The program doesn't work well for one of his phones and suddenly it's an attack on his country of origin. Europe has the most advanced cell phones and is a larger combined market then the US. That is the kind of boasting usually reserved for Americans, here it just sounds defensive as if you have some underlying political agenda.

TECHNOMANCER Yes, Verizon is the number one provider in USA. But the last time I checked, USA wasn't the only place that had cell phones. Let's think about that. Maybe they are targeting, say, the rest of the world, as well? Nokia is arguably the largest manufacturer of phones, with Motorola right up there. And they've certainly been around longer, and have better documentation for formats. So, quit your whining. If the program doesn't work for you, get another one. It works great for me.

WOGHASHER It's very good at what it does (although it takes time to figure out how), but it would be better if it converted ringtones from phone brand to phone brand, like Panasonic to Nokia.
