DESCRIPTION
UnicodeChecker is an application that displays information for every code point from the Unicode Standard. For a given number, UnicodeChecker will display that character along with its UTF-8, UTF-16 and UTF-32 encodings, XHTML entity, Unicode Name, mapping information and much more.

UnicodeChecker features several conversion functions and other Unicode utilities, some of which are also added to the Mac OS X "Services" menu and/or AppleScript (e.g. converting text to and from HTML character entities, (un-)escaping Unicode for CSS or Java, getting properties via AppleScript) so they can be used from within other applications.

WHAT'S NEW
Version 1.13:
  • New Favorite characters library.
  • Codepoint references in the Unihan table are clickable links now.
  • Menu items representing the character block containing the current codepoint are highlighted.
  • Fixed a bug where Utilities windows were not working on Mac OS X 10.3.
  • For codepoints that have been deprecated in Unicode a ÒDeprecatedÓ label is displayed next to the glyph.
  • Minor cosmetic improvements.

ANONYMOUS  Absolutely one of the best tools available. When you work with Unicode, UTF-8 conversion HTML and the like you wanna use this little app. Good job.

GARRETT ALBRIGHT  VERY handy program for working with Unicode symbols in HTML... The program itself is good, but it's the Services menu functions that make it invaluable. Kudos!
