DESCRIPTION
Labels X is a haxie that enhances the file and folder labeling features in Mac OS X. It can:
- Apply tints to file and folder icons;
- Sort the files and folders by label;
- Apply tints to file and folder names;
- Customize the label colors and names;
- Share label information with Mac OS 9

Version 1.8.2:
- Fixed an issue causing Labels X to stop working under some circumstances which led to every single one of LX's users emailing us. Oops.

ADONSA Labels X is one of the top 10 most important applications for the Mac. Your message is 7 months old, System Leopard is over a year and a half old, the messages at the URL you cited are a year old. How responsive is this? Will there be a System Leopard compatible version of Labels X? Is there a plan to upgrade Labels X to System Leopard compatibility? If so, what is the plan? If the coding is difficult, then why aren't Apple programmers helping out in accordance with the provisions of the Apple Developer Connection? Helllllooooo? Anyone home?

PROFINITE For those who believe that Unsanity does not respond to inquiries, I suggest that you read the announcement in the yellow box at the top of their blog page that has existed for months now: http://www.unsanity.org/archives/betas/enthusiastic_trepidation.php I own FontCard, FruitMenu, Menu Master, and WindowShade. All of their betas have worked well with Leopard on multiple Mac's.

MAREKJANCI Please be aware that some users (myself included) are having a problem with version 1.8.1. Specifically, the icons won't take on the color which is a major feature of Labels X. One may want to keep version 1.8.0 as a backup in case it doesn't work for them. Hopefully, this will be resolved soon by Unsanity. Thank you. | |

GARY30 Labels X makes labels the way they are supposed to be. The only downside to my MBP was that Labels X did not work with the Intel processor. This upgrade is allmost like a Christmas gift. My file labels look graceful again, the way they are supposed to look. Looks nice and stable on my machine as well!

ANONYMOUS So what, Tiger doesn't have lables ? Panther did. What happened ? I think I'd rather have labels than widgets.

ANONYMOUS I just want a utility to calculate the number of items in a folder and show it in the get info window for the folder. Am I the only mac user to wants know how many items a folder contains?

ANONYMOUS Yes Tiger does have labels. This app is for people with 10.2x... And yeah I would love to know how many items a folder contains as opposed to just the size. I'm sure OS9 used to do it.

MAC2ALL There is enhancements of the Panther Label system with Labels X 1.6 and 1.6.1: 1. You can choose if you want colors only on the file/folder, or as s stripe for the name too. 2. You can change the name and/or colors of the Labels. So this seems an improvement to the Panther labels.

JACK The System Panther upgrade is AWESOME! So far, I have NOT found it necessary to restart the finder for the icon colors to change. It works just like System 9! Also, old System 9 (and below) icon colors that I haven't seen for years, are back. Wow! Thanks for doing Apple's work. Next task, it would seem, is to make sure that Label X is going to be System Tiger compatible. Thanks much, guys, keep up the good work! Jack
