DESCRIPTION
Gorilla is a suite of software tools designed to assist the creative individual in making a film, or a video. From Preproduction through Production to Post Production, Gorilla contains everything the filmmaker or videomaker needs to make a movie. Let's start with your character list. Input them all into Gorilla and start attaching possible actors to the characters, complete with photos. Then work on your Crew list. When you are done with that you need to break down the script. Then schedule your shoot days, set call-times, enter your props, and wardrobe and special effects. When you are done you can print out reports and call sheets.
Ready for your budget? Enter the Budgeting module and start entering numbers. When you are done Scheduling and Budgeting your project, move on to figuring out how much money you are going to make using the Distribution of Profits module. Gorilla also has a complete calendar and datebook to enter your location scouts, rehearsal schedules with your actors, and other meetings. When you are ready for post, you can enter all your scene notes in the Editing/Scene Notes module. And when you are ready to submit to film festivals, enter the Film Festival module to view and enter hundreds of festivals all over the world. Well, it might not be "everything" but is sure is a hell of a lot!
Who designed it? Filmmakers, of course! Aaton Cohen-Sitt decided it was time to make a film and he needed something to help him put it all together. Why use Excel for a budget, Word for a character list, and a contact manager software for contacts? He decided to design a single, complete, seamlessprogram which makes it a snap to get all your rescources with a couple of keystrokes -- hence Gorilla!

ACTORBAT I started using Gorilla with 2.2 and thought that it was a necessity for any independent film maker. Well Jungle software has outdone themselves with Gorilla 4.0. Keeping track of casting, scheduling, budgeting has become so much easier. The layout of the program makes it unnescessary to spend hours with a tutorial to get started. One can load the program and be up and running immediately. Gorilla makes it possible for independent filmmakers to spend more time making films and less time shuffling papers. I could not complete a review without mentioning Gorilla support has be fantastic and prompt as well. (Version 4.0.1)

SPECTRE315 Gorilla 4.0.1 is a fully developed production tool that allows first-time users access to toosets that are normally found in multiple programs costing twice as much. After generating a .SEX file from MMSW or FD, our students can take a 120 page screenplay and within one week produce a scedule, budget, storyboards, shotlists, call sheets, production reports, and breakdown sheets. Now that Final Draft Tagger import bug has been fixed, everything has been clear sailing for us! This program is the REAL DEAL! If you are serious about production, do yourself a favor and take a peek at this package - you'll be hooked! (Version 4.0.1)

DANCING CAT Gorilla 4 is the only software my company uses for scheduling and budgeting film and video projects. The workflow is so easy and automatic there is virtually no thinking necessary. Gorilla imports your tagged screenplay and creates your breakdown sheets and stripboard for you. There are inumerable templates for budgeting or you can create your own. Accounting automatically keeps track of youe expenses and tracks the distribution of the profits. You can also purchase additional rate books that import current rates directly from the internet. How easy can it get? But, best of all, it's much less expensive than comparable software with more limted fiunctions. If you're looking for the right software to use for producing film and video projects of any type - download this one! (Version 4.0.1)

ELP_PRODUCTIONS I've worked with the developers as a Beta tester and user since v2 and I must say the latest v4 is going to make my upcoming production slate much easier to manage! The developers constantly work with the users to improve the software and keep it current with industry demands. Get the latest demo and see for yourself. If you're using anything else, you're wasting valuable time. And in this business, that's money you should want in your pocket. (Version 4.0.1)

NAURTO I have mixed feeling with this software. I has may good features but it is poorly designed. The developer need to work on the look and feel of his app. It basicly poorly design screenwriter database. It is also over price, but luckly this is demo. Because if I had paid full price for this software, I would be exermely upset. (Version 3.1)

JOHNROWLAND It still amazes me how "developers" with an apparent complete lack of skill put their hand to a Filemaker or 4d database, do so VERY badly then charge money for it (hundreds of dollars in this case). Not even worth the download. (Version 2.2.4)
