DESCRIPTION
MacPhoneHome is the pre-eminent computer tracking and theft recovery software in the world for MacIntosh computers. With MacPhoneHomeª there is no yearly monitoring fees, no additional charges, and no hidden costs! How does MacPhoneHomeª work? Simple user-friendly installation and configuration. Every time you boot your computer and have an Internet connection, MacPhoneHomeª sends a stealth e-mail message containing its exact location to a pre-determined e-mail address set by the customer. In the event the computer is stolen, the customer must make a report with the local police and then notify the MacPhoneHomeª Command and Tracking Center, which will provide full tracking and recovery support. When the stolen computer goes online it will send a stealth message to the pre-determined e-mail address containing its location. Once this information is received, recovery agents at MacPhoneHomeª will work with our customer and the investigating law enforcement agency to recover the stolen property. Worldwide tracking and recovery. Highly tamper-proof.

TERSKAC  I have multiple licenses for MacPhoneHome. After a few years only one computer seems to be reporting its information anymore. I have tried contacting the developer several times for help and have received no response. I left phone messages and requests through their web site.

Assuming I may have been doing something wrong I downloaded the newest instructions from their tech support page. The instructions download is a single one page sheet with no instructions at all. Its just a cover page and the rest is missing when I open the file in Preview.

MARKUS WINTER  A while back I bought 25 licenses after we had a burglary at work and my laptops were stolen. The first disaster was during the update to Leopard - my Mac would hang during booting up. Turned out MacPhoneHome was the culprit. Brigadoon was silent on the problem for an awful long time before releasing a 10.5 compatible version. I now tried to install this new version on my new MacBook Pro but all I get is a "user name or password incorrect" - which they certainly are not. I contacted tech support and am still waiting for an answer that fixes the problem (I suspect the different endianess of Intel vs PowerPC machines is the root of the problem)

MORJOVY  as i understand...

technically, it is just a "call-home" app which sends a thief's IP to your office. no additional alerts, camshots and so on. and the license of $30 means only a remote support in calling local SIP and police worldwide...

is this a joke? how will you, sitting in you NYC far-far away, give a support to somebody from Siberia for example? dont be silly... dont you think, you will call a local policeman and he will follow your instructions?

MACDOG324  I've used this product for a few years now. I wonder what the motive is for some giving it a bad rep. I think it works exactly as advertised. I think the installation was simple (make sure to read the install pdf that comes with the software). Every time I use my computer online it sends me a message with its location (again, refer to the user's manual). I like the fact that they provide you with free upgrades instead of charging you like most companies.

Also, the software is a one time price only of $29.95 ... No yearly fees like all the rest. It a bargain at that price. I've had a few questions and sent an email to their tech support and get a prompt reply.

The biggest thing I like is they are an American company familiar with our justice system not a foreign company like computrace and undercover.
