TLMURRAY  I've been using a beta since (I think) Spring of 2008, and there are a couple of suggestions that really need to get implemented. While the software works just fine, I'm a bit concerned that it's being ignored.

JPP_ZOSO  prosoft has continued developing this application and now has a version that seems as stable as v1.3x. apparently the kernel panics and other problems i was having were unique to my environment, although it was never explained what was unique about the netware environment. not sure when or if v2.02b1 will be released to the public since v2.01 seemed to work just fine for all the other beta testers. in any case, i'm happy to say prosoft has been quite attentive since my last review and continues to provide feedback to bug reports and whatnot even for those incidents that on the surface have no connection to their software. if i could retract my previous review and replace it w/ this one, i would. dying environment or not, this client is absolutely essential for my job, and i'm glad the client now makes those connections worry free again. would be nice to see this client gain feature parity w/ the native novell linux and windoze netware clients some day.

JPP_ZOSO  Started using v1.3x and have recently upgraded to v2.0. Have not had a single problem w/ either version. No crashes, no hiccups, no glitches of any sort. Simply put, if you need access to a Novell Netware network on OS X, the Prosoft Netware Client for OS X kicks too much a__!

A few of comments for the developers if they're reading this. #1, I must say, I miss the menu bar functionality from v1.3x in v2.0, in particular once the connection is active. #2, Great job updating the user guide. #3, upgrade install from v1.3x to v2.0 was smooth as silk except the v1.3x client was not removed from my startup items...a "ghost" image was left behind and I had to mannually remove it.

ANONYMOUS  Don't get the Tiger version yet. I installed it and upgraded to tiger and it is a pile of crashes and kernel panics. Prosoft says this is a 'known bug'!! Now I can't save or open from the network at work and I can't downgrade to Panther without a full erase and install. So I'm waiting for promised bug fixes. If you need to log into an older Novell system (like I do),WAIT FOR A PATCH BEFORRE YOU UPGRADE.

ANONYMOUS  The only existing reviews are of version 1.1 so I would like to add that I have used version 1.2 for three years. Initially there were some difficulties in configuration but I consider them minor. Then it was smooth sailing. I have found the client to work flawlessly (including over VPN) and I am no network expert. The menubar access is great.

One difficulty was that if I logged out, the network drive icon remained on my desktop. This was fixed by a minor update some time ago.

I have now moved to Tiger and found the client did not work. A new Tiger version (1.3) has just appeared, which is good, but I have to pay for it, which is bad.

ANONYMOUS  This Client has problems .. ProSoft needs to update this to address many probelms and Bug's. There is no way save more than one user context and the client "Crashes" alot. Wait for the next update, if there is any. ): or go to LDAP and Novell 6.X and forget the PS Client ASAP.

NETWARE ADMIN  1.0x was a bear. This new version works just fine. I'm amazed at the stability of this version compared to the previous versions. Prosoft did it right! I was able to login from thru my AirPort network directly to my workplace with this client and all went well. Transferring lots of data. And--get this --- not a single pesky ".DS_Store" file that clutter up every directory of a server! Good job guys. It's been a long time coming and all those NetWare shops out there thank you!
