DESCRIPTION
Doggiebox is a versatile drum machine that empowers you to create and manipulate percussion-based songs. With Doggiebox, you can create drum tracks in minutes, ranging from the realism of a human drummer on a full kit to imaginitively bizarre experimental pieces.

Our goal is to produce a tool for home-recording musicians and hobbyists that complements a human drummer for a variety of situations. Whether you want to quickly produce a demo without taking the time to set up and record real drums, or if you have grand aspirations but don't own a drum kit, Doggiebox is the friendly and versatile tool to fill the gap.

WHAT'S NEW
Version 1.4.3:
  • Fixed the lack of audio playback under Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard).
  • Fixed a possible loss of audio data when re-saving a drum kit originally created with a pre-1.3 version of Doggiebox.
  • Fixed a couple of crashes that could occur in specific circumstances.
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later.

ANONYMOUS  Heh heh! Wicked little drum machine for my mac! It's fun to fart around with it, now that my buddy scammed both of my 202's...

CHRIS  I don't know how I would have completed some of my songs and recordings without Doggiebox! I have used it to demo some beats for my drummer, and even record whole songs at home (Pro Tools MBox) without a live drummer. My only complaint is that there aren't more drum kits available (like say an all percussion kit with bongos, congas, djembes, etc - or a jazz kit with brushes), but I'm sure someone out there is sampling those! This is an absolute necessity for any songwriter who needs a drummer-in-a-box at home for writing.

ANONYMOUS  I just tried to run Doggiebox under 10.2.8 and it will not open. I have tried reloading etc but nothing seems to work. I hope there is going to be an update. This sounds like a great program.

ANONYMOUS  What exactly happens when "it will not open"?

Chances are you unstuffed it using Stuffit Expander 8.0, which is broken. It fubar's the permissions on files. Get the latest version and try again.

If it still fails, please contact me directly at support at doggiebox dot com and I'll work through the problem with you.

MOONDOG  My bad. I was running it off of a non-bootable partiton. As soon as I moved the app to my startup partition it exported like a charm. Thanks again Ben!

MOONDOG  Just tried to export various formats (2 types of AIFFS & a WAV) & continually got an error message - "Doggiebox has detected a problem, most likely the application is damaged..."

At least this time the "save as" comes up once I go to "export" :-)

ZYGOAT  Export was broken in the original posting of 1.0.1 (build 1A8); it has since been fixed and replaced with build 1A9. Please re-download; thanks for mentioning this!

ANONYMOUS  Maybe it's just me, but every time I try to export audio nothing happens. Could "export" be disabled?
