ANONYMOUS hmm, still does not seem to be accurate - does not reflect changes in read emails removed from server and requires manual "reset" of message count which resets it to zero, even if there ARE still unread messages on the server. no good.
check out frogslapper if you can find it. sits in the dock, but a way better app if you can do without the scrolling ticker. (Version 0.5.2)
MARAUNDI well, it took some doing, but i finally found a working link for frogslapper v2.11 (released 10/2000) - for those who want to check *that* little app out ... i haven't, so can't comment on it ...
MRSTEVEEE This program would be very useful if it could check gmail and .mac accounts. Unfortunately, the developer's website is largly in German, and many sections of it are not accessible (error 404 forbidden). I really liked one of his other programs, "My Mind," but that can't be downloaded due to the same problem. What a shame. (Version 0.5.2)
MAXGRUNE When I had version 10.4.3 - program worked perfectly. Has established version 10.4.6 - crash! (Version 0.5.2)

ANONYMOUS I think the developer must have stopped supporting this application. It is a very great shame as this is THE best pop email checking application out there. I was a dedicated user until 10.3.8 when it ceased to work and it would quit at startup. I know it's a free programme and I guess the developer has moved on to more exciting stuff but please, if at all possible, please bring the great MailTicker back to life... (Version 0.5.2)
ANONYMOUS I have tried a tonne of these apps for my yahoo account and I can't get any of them to work including this one! is it because i have a .ca account???? i can get all of teh apps/widgets to work with my gmail account just not yahoo... and yahoo is no help of course...
i wonder if one day someone will actually make one of these that works (Version 0.5.2)
