DESCRIPTION
PasswordVault Lite is a free password manager which securely stores your website access information, Internet banking data and software runtime keys for convenient and easy access.

It protects your data using very strong 896-bit encryption and includes auto-filling of Web forms, auto-lock timer, auto-clipboard clear, random password generator, import and export of data (for easy backup and transfer), editable categories, editable notes, master password recovery system, selectable skins, detailed reports after portable/desktop sync, and secure password auto-distribution for groups of users.

The bundled portable version runs directly off USB drives and iPods. Windows, MacOS X, MacOS Classic and Linux versions are available.

The Lite Edition includes a 30 day trial of auto-distribution and supports 15 services, whilst the commercial Std and Pro Editions support any number of services. Inexpensive multi-user packs, site licenses, custom builds, etc. are available.

WHAT'S NEW
Version 6.0 adds online password synchronization (so passwords on multiple computers can be easily and securely synchronized anywhere in the world), global floating window transparency (making it less conspicuous), Windows Vista compatibility, reduced CPU utilization, and various optimizations. It is a free upgrade for all users.
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.1 or later.

PETER DA SILVA  There's nothing stopping you copying your keychain file to removable media. Apple's keychain supports multiple keychain files just fine, and I've copied mine around without problems.  (Version 5.0)

ANONYMOUS  From the web page:

"Each desktop version below is bundled with 'PC-Mac PasswordVault2Go Lite', a product designed specifically to run directly on portable media such as USB drives, Zip disks, iPods, etc. You can now safely take all your service data with you on the road!"

Which is exactly what I was looking for. But I don't like the fact that they are not open about what encryption standard they use.  (Version 4.2)

ANONYMOUS  Does it provide access to Apple's keychain?

If not, why the Hoobagedankeweiser not? Stick it on the shelf with all the other pointless password applications that duplicate what's already built in and all applications can already interface with so you don't need to cut-n-paste...  (Version 3.2)
