AIKOUSHA  I have a number of players (other than QTP which was f'd up on two recent system upgrades) that do better and faster with no plug-ins required.

However if you can implement WORKABLE matroska, you'd have me in an instant. But, I am assuming since that would require rewriting the codec package in base code, and it isn't QT compatible, this would never happen?

ANONYMOUS  Used to love this program unfortunatley it crashes upon launch in Tiger and from what I can tell all development has ceased. Such as shame, the Mac community has needed a program like this for years. Yes I know iTunes now can play back videos now, however I would prefer to keep music and videos separate, and there is no comparison of the feature set and compatibility for various formats between iTunes and Cellulo.

ANONYMOUS  Just FYI, if you get the 2.0b theres an option in the preferences to allow you to use mplayer for playback! So you can play your Xvid, divX whatever :D

IAN LUECK  This is great! An application that does for videos what iTunes did for music- they even have a similar interface, which looks good when you want to keep things uniform on your computer. It supports a wide variety of formats- the ability to play .swf files in fullscreen is a major plus- although I don't think it can play XVid yet. Correct me if I'm wrong. Still, it's faster at switching to fullscreen that MPlayer and more stable than VLC, plus it automatically loads playlists, so congrats for helping me find a great fullscreen player!

AMBROISE  You can actually play XVid with Cellulo. Just install DivX (preferably the last version, 5.1.1) and the codec which you'll find at http://www.insaneness.com/xvid.html

For AC3 sound: http://www.insaneness.com/ac3.html

AMBROISE CONFETTI  Well, in fact, the feature allowing the user to choose the screen for full screen mode has been present at least since version 1.2, but it was broken in version 1.3.

Version 1.3.1 fixes this: to choose the screen, open the movie in window mode, place the window on the screen that should be used for projection, then switch to full screen mode.
