EARLTHEPEARL  I find this software works great if you make some changes in your images in Photoshop first. After opening in Photoshop and getting the sizes of the images the same, and the quality where yu want them.... you need to go to Image Mode...Indexed color... colors set at 256... forced...Black and white...Dither...none.

Then save your images as .png.

Ok now they will work good on ... GifFun.

If you don't use these steps the gif image will be poor quality.

It works great for me on OS X.

If you have to do all the work of perfecting the images in Photoshop, you may as well output the animation from there as well.

TOMIS  Well it does what it says. But due to the fact that it doesn't support dithering, the output from full-color images looks horrible.

I'll continue to use GifBuilder for now.

MOK.IN.TOUCH™  With all the discouraging feedback about this little application, I've tested it out and I found it is not so bad for the price...FREE! For those who's not the pros, they can easily create some simple animation gifs without getting into troubles.

I've made a sample for those who wonders how this works. This sample is made out of over 22 pics. You may view it here:

BTW, I'm not related to the developer. I'm just a software tester.

JOHN NOWAK  Terrible software. The list view that you arrange your images in is buggy. Oftentimes, the items will not insert at the point specified. There is no way to drag more than one item into the window at a time, forcing you to use the Load Folder menu option. This option does not load images in the correct order (it will put 19 before 2 for example, since 19 begins with a 1). It also has trouble dealing with some file paths.

DAYOS_X  Ridiculous is hardly the word for it. It seems like we're dealing with the mentality of Dogville here.

My question: what other features would anyone throw into a simple GIF-making program without bloating it up into another MS Office? Perhaps you're expecting a full animator suite? What, updates? Do you need a total rework for a '90s file format? Well you got it. It's called SWF. Deal with that.

That being said, this program does everything you'd expect a GIF maker would do. It neither falls short, nor does it exceed. Nor does it need to. And it absolutely works on OS X, with the same pop-up drawer. Except the drawer doesn't close with Cmd-T, now that's a strike against them!
